Name: The Boraks
Physical Description: The Boraks are mostly spherical quadrupeds, with their legs all being on their lower hemisphere. They possess a trunk halfway up their body, which is dipped into magma (lava?) so that it can pump said magma into a large cavity within their sphere, where it is then used as a weapon (by sending it back out of the trunk) or to provide energy. A secondary mouth on there underside is filled with teeth and is used to collect raw material to build the Borak's body and/or children with. There is a lump on the top of a Borak's head where the brain is stored. Small breathing holes surround the lump, which are used to collect and expel air. Waste is removed via a hole on the back of the Borack (around halfway up).
I'm going to need the location of your race.
---
So, I've run into trouble with the map, so that'll be done later. For now, I'll give you all an approximation:
Ixid: Your primary location is an enormous cavern, with the very top including the slightest exposure to the hostile surface. Your creatures mostly spend their time perched on several massive stalagmites, far enough from the floor of the cave to be safe from most predators.
Dirigids: You inhabit this same cave, floating about near the top. This has had the side-effect of granting you improved resistance to radiation, although a few of you drift out of the cave on occasion. They never return.
Salandrians: You begin in a deep cave, warmed by the heat of the molten earth. You have managed to secure a living-space that is only accessible through a series of contorted and cramped tunnels, difficult even with your flexibility. The result is safety from any larger predators, although you've noticed the floor is gradually growing hotter...
Graxid: You've constructed a large nest in a former cave, now reduced to rubble by an earthquake. It's been mostly crushed as the rock have shifted, however, and other creatures are beginning to move in. It would be wise to find a new nesting-location. This cave is about a half-mile from the central cavern mentioned to the Ixid.
Yrb: Your primary colony is located directly in the Salandrian cave, where a particularly-developed fungal mat stretches out over several hundred feet. Of course, there are other colonies throughout the cave system, should this one be destroyed-and it very well may be, should the temperature grow too high.
Borak:(I need your location, thermal or radiation)
Kuyeth: Your kind lives on the border of the Great Dead Zone. Your high level of reproduction has allowed you to stretch a little ways into it, although without food those worms quickly die. Another, smaller, colony exists much deeper, near where the rock turns to lava. Without further adaption, you cannot survive any deeper.
Eyul: You've been hunting the Salandrians for many generations, but now they seem to have found a way to hide their nests. It's possible to just kill the hunters when they leave the nest, but perhaps you should find a different food-source...
Destrachen: You live on the absolute border of the magma area, below where even the worms dare to go. You've been forced to go hunting for food higher and higher up as creatures have fled the steadily-growing temperatures. Perhaps you could create a new nest, to hunt for meat, and allow your current nest to harvest the minerals you depend on?
