Nah, man. The world's name should be that even saying it is a challenge.

This planet is the only known source of a physics-defying material colloquially known as "Fucknonium" to the daring prospectors who dare to make planetfall. It's known as this because it has a tendency to reach critical mass whenever more than a few grams of it are in the same square kilometer, resulting in interesting new strata.

Such as craters, craters, ravines, gorges, chasms, craters, and occasionally volcanoes.

You do know that going critical is good for reactors right? It means that it's working.

Going critical usually means "it's gonna fucking explode soon" when used in media, so wrong critical, Kevak.

Also, the nature god of the planet would kill any attempts at large-scale colonisation even if there were enough people brave and stupid enough to try. Blue, Mary Sue cat people may or may not be involved.

Every 17.53 years, there is a period of seismec upheavel, followed by a period of floods, then extreme heat, then extreme cold. This also brings minerals to the surface

There are types of vines called gripper vines which grab onto anything- trees, mountains, people, buildings, and crush them into nothingness.

There is a type of lichen which grows on artificial materials and spills acid upon it.

OK Guys, We need a name for the native aliens, How about they call themselves 'Rrxibiklfaramptomzrinflehkites' but human settlers originally just called them 'Those Freaky Aliens' Over time, the name evolved into 'Freaks'. Freaks resemble four-armed humanoid lizards and have a roughly bronze age technology level, although a few tribes use human technology scavenged from the ruins of settlements.

But what about the helpful natives who are immume to/ignored by most hazards because they often inadvertently help locate food when they go to help off-worlders?

-1. This doesn't make sense. Why would trees just randomly crush mountains like that? How is anything still alive in the wake of the mountain-destroying trees?

Maybe not crushing mountains. How about just strangling things instead. And occasionally damaging buildings. And make them rare. Would that more  sense?
