Do what FEF players do (Step 1: Take FE portrait. Step 2: edit. Step 3: you have portrait.)?

You're also missing a backstory

I'd rather not use a FE portrait. I may end up going that route, but I'm looking for something a little more detailed as the main profile picture (like FD and MNiI's)

Just gonna post the small amount I have thus far, probably won't be working on it more until later, but oh well.

At the top, generally.

Dwarmin: can we stick a bayonet on the flintlock? Even in matchlock days they had some kind of bayonents, ya know.

Or the various combination weapons that were tried.

Where are the features and traits in the basic rules? I'm looking but I can't find it. Also which ability modifiers?

((Sorry for being such a noob.))

Ability modifiers are in a table... somewhere. But they go 10-11 = 0, 12-13 = +1, 14-15 = +2, and so forth. Your class features will list two ability score saves which you get proficiency in, same as your skills. Your saves are the same as your ability modifiers, but the ones you're proficient in also gain the proficiency bonus. Your skills are the same way.

Features and traits are any special abilities granted by your race and class. For example, Elves are immune to sleep effects, if you chose the human variant you would get a feat that would go here; for an example, look at my sheet. I've got my Favored Enemy and Natural Explorer, which are class features; Wanderer, which is a feature of my Outlander background, and Sharpshooter, which is the feat I chose for the one granted by my human-variant racial abilities.

Also:

+Overland speed for a creature with 30' move speed is 3mph/24 mpd.
+Passive Perception is 10+Perception.
+Initiative is your Dex modifier.
+You can find the equipment tables for the stats for your weapons in the appropriate section of the PHB.

Here's the secret to finding a portrait: Google "DnD [classnamehere]", pick one without watermarks that looks good and reasonably fits your mental image, then match your description to it.  :P

I'm assuming my monk can't catch and redirect bullets like it can with arrows, right?

Early bayonets were of the plug type though, so you better be prepared to forgo your shooting. And never plug a loaded muscet. It will go bang.

5th ed doesn't even let halberds have more than one damage type! :P

First flintlock in 1610, first socket bayonet in 1678. Not that far apart.

What setting are we using, or is it homebrew?

Deflect Arrows doesn't require rolls. And the text of the crunch just specifies ranged weapons which are not massive; pistol and musket balls easily fall under that; they're relatively low velocity and small.

Edited sheet.

EDIT:

Quote from: UXLZ's sheet
Sacrificing another as bait to ensure the death of a terrible monster is distasteful, but may sometimes be necessary. I am willing to make that choice.
Quote from: Twinwolf's (my) sheet
Astrith is loyal to a fault and will outright refuse to leave anyone behind
I sense conflict in their future.

Good thing being in a party isn't mandated. xD

Interesting, real conflict! Perhaps the characters will end up at odds at some point if they both get in.

By the way Dwarmin, how likely are we to be able to solve stuff via pure (or mostly) RP/skill tests? I mean, is a combat-built character absolutely necessary?
Then again, you don't really have much of a choice in DnD. Everyone does combat...
