When are you going to choose the players, Dwarmin?

Well, soon, but likely not today. I'm feeling pretty lousy.

Now try to talk Dwarmin into using the Poison and Splash weapon houserules Hans, GWG, and I built so that it's worth bothering with poisons, hehe.
Do they also fix the problem of it taking 50 gp and 20 days to make a poison?
Yes. Lemme find them...

Okay, here's a summary:
Quote
1. Same crafting rules as Alchemy; pay 1/3 product cost for materials instead of being required to go out and kill things to gather doses.

2. Use Wrex's crafting rules: Nonmagical items created at a rate of 1000gp worth/day. For craft times of <1day, <50gp = 1h, 51-250gp = 2h, and every further increment of +125gp = +1h.

3. 6 ranks in Craft (Poison) removes the 5% chance of accidentally poisoning yourself while applying them &c. No Craft (XX) or skill ranks in 5e, but I don't think the PHB has any rules about poison use or making anyways.

4. Splash/grenade type weapons which deal damage can crit (20/x2) and be used to sneak attack (successful Sneak Attacks apply damage of the same type as the thrown weapon).

5. When you crit or Sneak Attack with a splash/grenade/thrown weapon which has a DC roll, a confirmed critical multiplies the DC by 1.3x, and a successful Sneak Attack adds +2 to the DC for each Sneak Attack die you have.

That's all, IIRC. Of course, that was from 3.5e, so some of it might not translate well. One of the big things is (AFAIK) a lack of Far Shot, as well as not having things like the Belt of Many Pockets or Hidden Pouches, Glove of the Master Strategist, and a whole lot of the really useful thrown stuff like Aboleth Mucus.

Pretty much all of the poisons are going to either be conversions from 3.5e or complete in-house fabrications.

I would really appreciate it if you waited till Wednesday; I want to put more effort into my sheet, but I just don't have the time today or tomorrow.

Blaaargh, I am so at odds with whether I want a Human or a Wood Elf. The stats and racial traits of a Wood Elf suits the class so much better than a Human, but  I don't really think it fits the backstory. T_T

Woe is me.

The backstory that I just finished sorta-writing. http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=181629
As well as the way Dwarmin seems to be gearing his campaign towards non-humans. (Reminds me of Witcher-verse, where racism is quite common.)

I'll have more stuff down tomorrow properly, but this should be a fairly interesting. Thank god the boxes can scroll, otherwise there wouldn't be nearly enough room.

Oh, and to make some parts of his background feel a little less absurd,

Lol, what he said.

It's an open world, you can make up whatever lore like. I mean, Wood Elves would actually be more likely to be in the New World...

We aren't actually at the NW yet. :v

Oh, and I edited my other post while you were typing if you didn't notice. Also, I have literally no idea what any of your deities are. Are there any devoted to the 'hunt'?

Good thing being in a party isn't mandated. xD

Interesting, real conflict! Perhaps the characters will end up at odds at some point if they both get in.

By the way Dwarmin, how likely are we to be able to solve stuff via pure (or mostly) RP/skill tests? I mean, is a combat-built character absolutely necessary?
Then again, you don't really have much of a choice in DnD. Everyone does combat...

Also, missed this question.

Sandbox means you can try to solve problems any way you like. Of course, combat WILL happen. But you can avoid alot of it.

Yeah, that's fine. As long as the possibility to try and solve stuff through non-combat means is there it's fine. I was jsut curious as to how many options one would have.
