I came across one years ago, but I can't remember it's name. I remember that the main character 'her'self was not aware of 'her' gender because 'she' live alone with 'her' mother who never bought up gender and thus it was like three episodes before the main girl notices something off about the new magic 'girl'.

Looks: Human: Dull black hair, dull black eyes, 5'6'' and more or less unnoticeable unless you she is actively making herself noticed.  Magic: Her hair and eyes brighten, she gains about 6 inches in height and would be considered to be in her early to mid twenties and would have men scrambling over each other to order her a drink at a bar.  Her outfit is fairly beautiful with a scintillating white and crimson dress which is designed to allow for high kicks.
History: Fairly average lower middle class life until she was cornered in an ally by some monsters.  Time stopped for a moment and a beautiful woman with raven hair and hollow eyes approached and kissed her.  The next she was aware, the monsters were all brutally destroyed and she was running back home in fear. 
Theme: Tremendous strength and durability.

I stopped watching partly because of that (wasn't a very influential factor since I watched PMMM) but mostly because of all the fanservice. There are two problems. One: I just don't like fanservice. Two: THEY'RE IN FREAKING YEAR 3 JESUS CHRIST.
