((Informational post for now. I'll let some more posts go through before I update again but this is information you guys might need.))
Anyway, list repair and resupply facilities.
Hm. Okay I did some digging. It looks like the Sicily has a
General Assembler onboard as part of its Logistics systems. This piece of technology does about what you'd imagine. It is programmed to make almost anything the Dynasty had blueprints for. It cannot fabricate Hullmetal, Logistics says that is "too difficult". What does that even mean? I'll have to ask Chell. Hullmetal fabrication seems to be very hush hush or something, there are no records on how to make it.
The GA can even extrapolate from a given set of specifications and will do its best to fulfill the request.
Aside from that, we have a near-infinite supply of fuel and relatively good material stores.
Speaking of food, do we have any manner of food production on the ship? And why are we considered a ship anyways? Can we come out of the sun or.....can we....move? Like....with it?
We have a full store of food onboard, ship's rations... not especially tasty but nutritionally complete for an augmented human. In fact according to records the Sicily normally had a crew compliment of 86. Chell is still aboard the Sicily, suspended in the stasis pod which is filled with
liquid. Conjecture: the incredible gravity here effectively means that Chell cannot move freely. The fluid must somehow allow it to survive despite the crushing pressure. We should probably move away from the star at some point, it would likely make Chell more comfortable.
Anyway, let's think beyond this. Does this ship has FTL capability? One of their ships has an FTL drive, and salvaging that might be usefull.
Affirmative, the Sicily is equipped with a class 5 dimension drive. It has an operational range of 300 lightyears per jump cycle.
It is, however, only effective outside of a strong gravity well. And by that I mean we'd need to be a significant distance from the local star, well beyond the outer solar system.
Then again, we don't need to follow orders literally.
It's not like gathering prisoners will cost something.
True, we do have
full operational authority within this system. So long as the objectives are met, the means literally do not matter.
"Parasite Warships (2)"
Describe these. If we can take over the ships and run them without human influence, they will be no doubt useful in some way.
Pulling up the files now...
Sicily Parasite Warships - LDS Sakharov and LDS Tamm
The
Sakharov is classed as a light scout cruiser, fast and deadly with advanced stealth systems. It is equipped with short ranged particle cannons effective to 1 light second (accuracy is low at maximum range against an evading target) and a small fleet of point defense drones which can move on rails along the outside of the ship in order to re-position. It is powered by an older style fusion power core.
The
Tamm is classed as a heavy attack cruiser. It has defense screens and heavy particle weaponry effective to 1 light second as well as guided strategic missiles with variable-yield warheads. It is powered by a pair of old style fusion power core.
