The cavern mechanics have succeeded, after two weeks, in completing a small-scale prototype. It seems reasonably operable, but unlikely to be terribly reliable.

The newcomer, Skies, finishes his initial draft of the hydroelectric dam's main structure, then returns to the fortress to consider materials and the building of the generators themselves. In general, there really aren't enough people to do much, but once the elevator repairs are complete, sometime tomorrow, some work will be done to clear and light the path there.
