Later on that evening Sarco strolled the streets of the town, looking at the various shops that had things for sale. Ducking into the armorsmith he looked around at his wears. Adressing the dwarf he said "Master Smith, do you also sell armaments? I'm looking for javelins. If not, do you know if anyone else might sell them in this town?"

Search the town, looking to buy javelins.

You interrupt the Smith pounding rivets and points of spiked metal into Kawtari's leather armor.

"Javelins? 'Cannae I have anything like that on hand. Not much business for it around these parts. Ya sure ya wouldn't mind a good spear? Got plenty o' boar hunting spears in stock. Ya can still throw em, just...not as far." He says.

"Hmmph. I wonder if you are trustworthy in that regard. Doubts occur to this one."
The slayer shrugged and rose to her feet, ordering food and taking it upstairs, where she could eat in privacy. Alone, she unhooked the beak of her helm, sliding it open and tossing the helmet to the floor. Her eyes blinked at the sudden influx of light, even if it was nearly dark.

She checked her pack. She'd left the statue in the blacksmiths... but here it was. She wasn't able to lose the thing. She pulled the bed to bar the door and slumped against the wall. She opened her book and began reading. Maybe it wouldn't be too bad tonight.

Tadhg smiles at the birdman, but makes a declining gesture. "If things goes bad, we might need more than one." He turns his attention back to the healer. "Good. I'll have one myself, and I'll let the others make up their own minds. How much for it?".

Risey makes a certain sort of smile. She's a passing fair lass, to be sure. Deep green eyes with a bit of sparkle, and rich, dark brown hair all the way down to her lower back.

"Normal price would be 33 gold per. You can have the hero price-just the cost of materials, 20 gold each. It's not like I'd turn you down, if you couldn't afford it." She puts her soft hand on Tadhg's shoulder in a certain way.

Well, this night might turn out interesting.

Aldeth giggles quietly at Risey and Tadhg, and stands to leave, yawning. She should probably go to bed... but her purse still heavy...
Leave and see if the magic item/trinket shop is still open.

Aldeth finds the shop just as the owner is about lock up for the night. He nods to her.

"Welcome to the Sphinx! The greatest riddle, of all is...why I'm still in business!

Anything you want, miss? I've got a few items left-your friends about cleared me out. At least I know what they do now."

You recall what Samara told you about what she identified, and it occurs to you that even some of the less interesting items could yield profit if you could study the spells that went into making them...

Sarco grumbled as he thought over the offer, his tongue flicking out his fangs in contemplation, before deciding. Nodding to the smith he said "Spear is acceptable. I shall take three of them I think."

Buy three spears and then ready for time skip.

"Arr, three gold, three spears." He growls.

One of his assistants hands you them in a complementary shoulder pouch.

Aldeth picks up the key, turning it over. "What's this do?"

The man straightens his eyeglasses.

"It's a magical key madam-to what, not even your friend could say. I would price it at 200 gold, twice what I paid to identify it-well, if you're a gambling sort. Who knows what doors it might open?" He says, maybe a bit smugly.

"I dunno, it's about useless as described...I mean, I'd like a horse I could pull out of a bag too, but nine times out of ten I get a cat? Suppose you could eat the crab, true...

I'll toss it to you for 50 gold. 'Bout the price of a good draft horse."
