Finally finished the caravan, frenzied brachydios was a wall, but everything past that was reasonable enough.

Looking forward to seeing what they do with the battle quarters in G rank/online play!

Do you mean you did every quest or completed the story?

If he did every quest, he wouldn't be saying frenzied brachy was the wall.

*Heavy breathing*

Finally... reached... G rank...

And jeebus that Ukanlos was annoying. He was digging every three seconds and doing that annoying swimming attack. If he didn't have that move the hunt would have been half as long as it was.

I did it. I finally beat the Master's Test. Holy jesus christ that was hard as hell.  The first two apex dudes weren't too bad. I thought "well, how hard could apex Deviljho be?".

Very hard. VERY VERY HARD.

Giant superlasers.

Giant boulders.

Giant he never stops eating you ever.

I killed the first two guys in about 6 minutes.

It took me almost 40 minutes to fight that bloody Deviljho. When he finally died it felt so frigging glorious. I'm still using the crappy starter CB. This thing is like a lover to me now. I should probably name it...

Edi: I think that means I've completed the Caravan 100%.

That and get an armor set that has Free Element so you can paralyze things in honor of all you have gone through together.

You can make a half decent CB set with free element if you wanted to. It'd use these parts
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
And come with these skills
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

(Spoilered them just in case Umi wouldn't want to know.)
Anyway, I think you could prolly do much better than that with the new combined skills, but this would be a nice starting point. Not sure whether you can get it right off the bat into G rank, but it's something.

Oh, umiman, were you using poisoned meat for that hunt? A poisoned Deviljho takes a ton of damage, something like the equivilent of 2 large barrel bombs+. If you didn't, then it would have prolly shaved some minutes if you did.

I always bring the meat against Deviljho. Unfortunately, Apex Jho doesn't give a shit about your status affects.

It only works when he's not in Apex form, which is when you sleepbomb him with the drugged meat.

There's a lot of things I could have done to shave off time. For example, actually knowing what on earth Apex Deviljho was like would probably have helped. A better CB with much higher damage would make things go a lot faster too. I would also not mount the Deviljho while he was out of Apex as it was a massive waste of time (which caused me to lose most of my DPS potential the first time I knocked him out of it). But I'm satisfied with that. Can't say I'll do the quest again either.

Edit:

I finally got my Phosgem guys.

Starting to do the final low rank urgents. Those are fun. All that's left for me is Rajang one and I think the Caravaneer's challange once I'm done with that. Feels kinda weird hunting the Kushala Daora that way the first time though.

Guys I know are screaming at me to get to G rank already. Welp. I've liked taking my time at least.

Apologies for lacking... specificity.

I've actually been thinking of getting this as well, when I get a 3DS.
Is something like the C-stick or Circle Pad Pro necessary for enjoying it, or...?
