You could just go for an archery based rogue and stay out of melee. All the rest of your stats are really strong.

Apparently sneak attacks can be done at range along as an ally is distracting your target (i.e, within five feet)-in fact, Rogues are balanced in that they need to get in their SA every turn.

Tho, one should note that the exact wording is that whenever you have a roll advantage, you get sneak attack dice-and it's a given the GM can choose to reward you with advantage roll for lots of things, like sand in the eyes. It fits lots of things...

OK, I believe mine's ready.  Relinking: Mirella Bergerie, Human Cleric.  Rolls for wealth and ability scores are included on the sheet.  Please let me know if I flubbed anything up; I haven't made a 5.0 character yet. 

Also, I ended up not picking Draconic.  I'm not sure, but with three people already knowing the language, I think we have enough experts in it - at least one speaker of the tongue is guaranteed to be in any party.  I can always swap that out quick if people think otherwise.

Yeah.  I was considering that, hence my openness to changing it, but from the name of the campaign, the name of the cult, and the WOTC disclaimer, our chief enemies are likely to be dragons, and thus they and their minions may be assumed to know Draconic as well.

Yeah, only the dragons will understand us.

While it's no doubt useful in this campaign, we don't all need to take it-Tiamat's position in the Nine Hells makes us finding the Infernal or Abyssal languages useful, just as likely.

IMO, it's good if you can justify it in your background somehow.

I made this mistake. Twice. MyNameisMaterial corrected me.

You can either choose to roll for gold and purchase equipment OR pick the items granted to you by your class/background. Not both.
