You can never have enough loyalty. Also there are three (four, with Tau) evil factions so I guess we should have four good ones to counterweight that.

Imperial fascist pigs are pretty evil, though. We need Necron to cleanse the galaxy of the blight that is called life. Afterwards there won't be any evil or suffering.

Well, let's say you're going away from Earth on huge spaceship and suddenly shit goes wrong and you have Super Mutants. Social Experiments prepared them for this.

There was a good faction once.

The fans complained.

You misspelled seance.  Are possessing Draignean?  Are you actually a ghost in the shell? You have to tell us if you are, that's the rule

Indeed.
I meant that as a joke, but I wouldn't have anything against more special Imperial stuff... maybe if only as minor DLCs with ships for Imperial Navy.

If you mean Tau then people complained because they were... well, Tau. TBH, most "civilized" factions are good to some extent though. Eldar aren't that bad except they're elitist fucks, Imperium is struggling to exist and not let everyone die horribly, Tau despite being lobotomizing fucks still sometimes use diplomacy and so on.

I beat the campaign finally. It took way too long. Like I said before I have no clue why I kept playing it as it really wasn't that fun at all.

There were a number of amusing points though.

Yeah, the campaign is basically just a bunch of missions loosely connected by lore. Not very different from regular singleplayer skirmishes. I must say that I liked the bad ending... which didin't differ that much from good ending, but eh, it was worth it.

If an assassination mission has a goal on the other side of the map why the hell is he also allowed to warp out?  That's fucking stupid.

Are you talking about the MP mission type?

I'm playing skirmish.

I've lost the last like three missions in a row because apparently in BFG being routed means you win.  All three I've lost because the enemy warped out

Yeah, I was watching multiplayer videos and the mission objectives are one of two reasons I didn't buy the game.  Assassination and data recovery if the defender is faster/more evasive, they win automatically.  Breakthrough/station defense if the attacker has better long range fire power (especially the nova cannon) they become the de facto defender since they can destroy the objective(s) at range.

Cruiser battle or whatever is fun, but breakthrough is basically impossible on defense.  There's no fucking way to keep those things alive and ships are tough enough you'll never kill them before they cross the line.

More or less the only fun modes are cruiser clash and escort.

Assassination is stupid because it's impossible to kill an ork ship in time and the others can just run away easily from the other side of the map.

Don't get me started on the planetary bombardment nonsense and their RNG spawn points.

Data recovery can get amusing but most of the time it sucks as you'll spend too much time chasing someone down.

Breakthrough is pointless as carriers / Eldar make short work of them. Orks can just ram them for an instant win.

What this has really done is make me curious about actual Battlefleet Gothic.
