Every few decades, a dragon egg is found in the sacred forest adjacent to the Laureline family's castle, their origins a mystery. Once found, these eggs take anywhere between a few days and a few years to hatch. Laureline's military isn't particularly strong, mostly reliant on the tactical usage of their dragons to win the day. Hard times have fallen on Laureline, however, and only two dragons remain alive with one egg found but unhatched. Considering the state of Laureline's military, it's unlikely they will survive for long, even with the aid of dragons. The only thing that can save this house now is some kind of tactical genius. Hopefully, Marcus Laureline is such a genius.

Not sure about the fantasy level considering that pagan gods and riding wolves exist.

@Dragons: Like Gig said, they used to be around, but were hunted to extinction multiple generations back. In the event your family does have a dragon's egg, it's not going to hatch. Something to brag about, but that's it.
