"It-it-it it was da boss! Da boss, he gots no name, nots that we's ever heard. And da boss is takings da orders too, I dunno from who, but I's can tells you wheres to find da boss."

He's perspiring heavily, and froze completely once Portia starts wiping off her sword.

"Uh... he's... OKs, I cans do this... Hes gots a front, an all-kee-me place or sumthins like that. 'Da Hog's Brew', middle of Entsley. Yous shouldn't haves much troubles findin it."

Arno regains 2 HP (Yes, really, I rerolled it to make sure and it was also a 1). Each party member gains 50 XP.

Arno hacked up something nasty on the ground-black and red. Ugh. He must have been hurt worse than he thought...he would need more than a little popskull for this headache.

"I dunno. Hes da boss man. You tink a guy like me..." The thug actually taps his noggin to demonstrate, "...would know why a guy like him does anythin'? Yous gots to be kidding me."

It seems he's unwilling to say anything else.

"Indeed. But first things first -"

Coral gestures towards the thug with the head of her warhammer.

"I suppose we ought to go to Entsley, then. We have some talking to do with this 'Boss'"

Arno nods. He seems a bit pale, and his right shoulder is obviously bothering him, but he's otherwise okay.

"Sounds like a good idea.

Oh, and take this Elf-I'm sure you can put it better use than that other guy. Like, as it not shooting me,"
Arno says, tossing the thugs crossbow and quiver to the Hyphien.

He turns to the thug, then. His voice isn't cruel or wrathful, just honest.

"And you! Go back to the farm. I can tell by the marks on your hands you were once a farmer. I don't blame you for trying to get a little extra money. It's a tough life, but an honest one. Make for tough men-and usually honest ones, too. That doesn't mean you have to dance for rich men in masks, do what they tell you to, bleed and die for them. Doesn't mean you have to hurt innocent people. Try going North-the Empire always needs farmhands. It's not a bad life...

I do hope you can see there's no future for you this line of work, especially if you meet us again. I owe you a tosh for hitting my sister, but I'm willing to put off the debt...but, next time I see you, I'm going to pay you back double-understand?"

He readied the butt of his sword to knock the fool out. Arno doubted the man would take any of his advice, but there was no harm in trying...

Action: KO the thugs and relieve them of any further valuables. Then off to Entsley!

TO ENTSLEY!

"How in need of healing are you?"

Coral casts a concerned eye over the halflings' wounds.

"I have limited power, but I can think of worse uses."

The thug is knocked out, and then searched. Between the two of them, you find:

484 silver pieces
1 heavy crossbow (the one tossed to Hyphien) with 18 crossbow bolts and quiver
2 maces
3 crowbars
1 hammer
1 grappling hook
12 feet of low quality cut and knotted hempen rope

And then you proceed to finish the trip to Entsley.

Dusk is falling as you arrive, and you can see it's a large town (or a small city). There's the main road that leads straight to the other side of the town, and you can see that there's a main building that functions both as a temple and library not far from the road. There's some inns, some stores, and a tavern on either side. Buildings farther from the main road get both smaller and more like homes, but it can be assumed that there are some shops that aren't on the road near it.

There is a gate over the road, but no wall or fence around the city. Remnants of a palisade can be seen, but they are mostly black and charred; many years ago, it would seem. The doors to the gate are solid oak, but wide open. You know they haven't been closed ever since the Western Empire took the city. The closest inn is the tavern known as the 'Walking Tree', based on the city's myths. Further on is a dedicated inn, called the 'Knot hole', which has more beds and a larger building (but no drinks). There are more further on. You can't see The Hog's Brew from here, but if the thug is to believed it's near the center of town.
