Fallout the first
TESIII

Fallout 3 was fun, 2 I didnt care too much for (it was meh) and NV was enh

Daggerfall was fun, oblivion was more mediocre and Skyrim was like a spinoff.  And I dont really count the other ones.  Redguard I didnt play until I was an adult, and the rest I dont know too much about, except I played Arena and didnt feel anything for it.

First fallout and Morrowind, though the second fallout is pretty cool too. Nothing beats the first fallout, even with all it's flaws.

Fallout New Vegas.
The first three fallout games had crappy control schemes that prevented me from getting into them, and I haven't played the fourth one, "Fallout 3", so it can't be my favorite.

Skyrim
I've only played Skyrom and Oblivian, and for whaeverreason the khajit in Oblivian look weirdly deformed

Morrowind. That is all there is to say on the matter.

The biggest problem with fallout 2? The huge problem of that game?

The goddamn starting temple.

Half an hour flailing at scorpions in not my idea of fun.

You can skip the tedium.  Much worse is if you aren't built as a fighter.  Thug really doesn't take it easy on you.  You end up cheesing to win.
And then, from the moment you enter that world until the moment you beat it; from your first scripted encounter to the patrols of the Enclave, is a brutal struggle with an unforgiving combat system against incredibly buffed critters.

I liked the game enough but trying to play a sub-optimal character was ridiculous.

Ah yes, the beginning of Fallout 2 - not only the temple, but the whole thing. As I said, it's one of my favorite Fallout games but the beginning is an atrocious difficulty cliff grindfest. The game is great but takes a while to pick up speed.

I have another problem with the temple: how out-of-place it is. It looks like something out of Indiana Jones and doesn't fit the apocalyptic or tribal aesthetics.

That's because it was shoehorned in at the last minute, as the... publishers(?) wanted a proper tutorial level instead of thrusting the player straight into things like in Fallout 1. So of course they had to be accommodated if Fallout 2 was to be ever shipped. In other words, if the starting temple feels out-of-place then that's because it definitely is.

Yes, I knew that. I'm just amazed with just how little effort was put into it. Also surprised the devs didn't sneak in a way to skip the temple under the publishers' noses.

To my shame I never actually played Fallout 1, so Fallout 2 is my favourite.  Followed by New Vegas.

I'm not sure which I'd rate higher out of 3 or Tactics.  I feel both of them kinda miss the mark a bit on feeling like Fallout.  3 is probably a better game overall, but I generally prefer the turn based isometric approach to a real time (albeit with the token VATS system) first person approach.

I'm not much of a fan of Elder Scrolls games - I've played Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim, but none of them extensively.  As I intimated above, I'm not a big fan of real time first person (or over-the-shoulder third person), at least if melee combat is involved much; I also couldn't get into the Witcher series, for example.  In any case, I can't really pick a favourite there.

Morrowind is the one game I can get the most enjoyment out of with very little modding. (Really just to change the fast travel a bit.)

Although Daggerfall holds a special place in my heart just for being Daggerfall.

I really loved fallout 1. But I've actually played it so much to death I can't stand going back to it, I tired myself of it pretty much permanently. So for fallout I'd have to say new vegas, as while it's sadly way easier to run out of content for than Fallout 3, it feels more consistent and believable for me.

Predictably, morrowind always has a big place in my heart when we go to TES. It's the only game in the series with good writing, even if it barely has any distinct characters outside of the main quest. The gameplay is... Passable at least. Though Oblivion is likely to forever be my go to screw around and play game for TES. Given certain mods make it easy to have it double as a hentai game, which improves the experience for me depending on my mood at any given moment. Daggerfall is great fun though, I actually love exploring the dungeons in that one.

Fucking skeletons in daggerfall tho.... WUUAAAAUUHUGUGAUGUAG WUUUAAAAAGUGUGUGAUH UUWAAHUGUGUAUGAUG.

I swear, it's like they're controlled by the reanimation and intense squeezing of their ballsacks off in some perverse necromancer ball squeezing room.

If I'd played Daggerfall as a kid, that would have scared the shit out of me. Now it's just kind of hilarious.

Yeah, Daggerfall is basically a horror game. These plus the really really loud door opening sound effects are terrifying if you wear headphones.

EDIT: Not that Morrowind's any better. Those fucking buzzing sounds... And the SKREEEESS of the cliff racers.
