I maintain that Sanders is most beneficial as a push towards the left for Democrats. I don't feel that he'd be that effective of a president, but I want him to have a very strong showing in the primaries to pull this country away from the rightward drift we've had for a while now.

It's not like he'd be destroying the banks - the whole point of breaking them up it's to break them into a bunch of smaller banks to increase consumer choice and competition and decrease the effect (on the market, savings, and on jobs, etc) of one doing something stupid and going down the tubes.

He hasn't even said that he would ban stock markets, so he isn't as far left on this issue as me.

Breaking big companies into smaller companies isn't really comparable to an industry being destroyed (besides, it's market forces that's killing the coal industry, I.e. That thing that Republicans consider a God).
