Well technically he missed the one training session I had with Toby, but I am going to count the exp anyway because I am evil.

I always loved Aggron. It's design is so cool, but it's typing and move-set leave a lot to be desired. It seems like it should've been on the same level as the Pseudo-legendaries like Dragonite and Tyranitar. Even a Mega Evolution didn't do it much good.

On an unrelated note:
Highmax, you seem to have missed one of my actions in the other thread where I attempt to feed Claire.
Whoops....

I'll do XP in a bit, once everyone's done their catch-a-thon and heads towards the forest.

Yeah, I decided not to be too greedy and have already left. Though I can't imagine how Aurelius spotted me when I said I was being sneaky. >_>

Aggron is super awesome, but that's probably just because it reminds me of Thanatos.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Should be obvious which one I'm talking about. If only Aggron wasn't so fat...
By the way, if you're wondering what my character looks like, it's very similar to the guy except slightly longer hair. I'm basing his appearance off of two SMT protagonists, and this guy is one of them.

I don't see anything.

Also, you got a long ways to go, and I thought you'd be sneaky going INTO the forest

I guess it's understandable. Works either way. xD

That's odd, the image works for me. Maybe it's blocked in your country for... Some reason?

Yeah this is sort of why I think a Pokémon RPG does go great with a split format over just live sessions.

It lets you get things out of the way because catching pokemon can take a looong time.

Not to mention anything other then continuing with the story.

If I was doing a split what I'd do is between sessions I guess I'd give activity points representing like 30 minute or 1 hour chunks of the day... between sessions (not suggesting you do a split >_< I just sometimes like talking)

---

Well trying to determine all the details of my Slowpoke.

---

I should state here I am leaving the game.

Good luck everyone, tell me how everything pans out.

I tried my darndest and didn't get anywhere >_< it was disheartening.

I just don't have the right skillset or mindset for this game.

I think its partially my fault since I think its more then one d100 roll and its not a d20 that's a roll for things... So you CAN say your GM has no idea what the fuck he's doing

You're doing fine. Sometimes I feel like you're being a bit easy on us, but that's understandable because it's early on in the game and otherwise I'm enjoying myself.

What do you mean by that thing with the d100s and d20s though?

Also, what the hell was with that Duskull? It 1HKO my Riolu. >_>
(Admittedly he's a bit weak defensively.)

Highmax often uses the wrong rollers for both pokemon generation and skill rolls.

Is what I think he is referring to. Which makes sense given some rolls have had a result much higher then what was possible (for example 14 was the highest result I could achieve with Charm)

---

As for knocking you out in one go... Let us see!

Duskull isn't loyal to you so his loyalty is 0 (this ignores that frustration is a weird move for a wild pokemon to use)... So his damage is a base 9, which he has no stab.... I am assuming this is the logic the GM is using.

So 2d10+10 which is an average of 21 damage before attributes are even rolled and a max of 30. Now your defense is 4 so...

So he has a attack of 2d10+6 essentially. Lets max out that damage and make it 26.

This means that Duskull would need to do an additional 6 damage by raw stats alone. Of which he has 4 attack, so add an extra +2 and you got it.

If the damage was a critical which it probably wasn't (as that seems like something the DM would state). The ghost rolls 4d10+20 and can EASILY knock out your Riolu by that alone.

In otherwords that Duskull rolled max damage.

In fact you got SUPER unlucky. If he had any nature that decreased attack it would be outright impossible for him to raise attack enough to knock you out.

But lets assume that he spent 5 levels only raising his attack and had no assisting nature (Getting an attack nature doesn't help, as he hits the wall at stat 9). This means he has an attack of 9. 2d10+19 means he needs a 17 or more to do that. This is a 10% chance. The chances that he cannot possibly have enough attack stat? 5 in 36

So yeah luck itself was against you UXLZ

Mind you, there are plenty of other moves it could have had that could have matched that damage or done more. Such as Shadow Ball.
