Vergu decides to craft more leptons for later, of various sorts. Then focuses on getting them to mingle, or at least close enough for their opposite natures to attract.

Writing out updates for more complicated forum games really takes much longer than one would expect it to. And your physics seems to be generally correct, so that's good.

I forgot something, didn't I?
It's probably these electrons. I'll try to get one into orbit around the nucleus of the atom.
Then, try again on making more protons and neutrons! Again and again until I have enough to also make a helium atom!

Make up and down quarks until I have 15 of each.  Put em together for five protons and neutrons.  Make seven electrons, then make three hydrogen atoms and one helium atom.

For real this time.

Produce a proton by combing one down quark with two up quarks.
Repeat production of proton.
Produce an electron for each successfully made proton and then move those two near each other to produce a hydrogen atom.

Umadber:
as many fermions, protons, and neutrons as are necessary
Um. You, er. You might want to read that page on fermions again.
Also, since you apparently didn't fix the error last time:
If you manage that, you may want to try your hand at making a hydrogen or deuterium atom.
A hydrogen atom requires one proton and one neutron- the base materials I requested be made.
Deuterium is an isotope of hydrogen that has one neutron in its nucleus- the advanced material count.
Non-deuterium hydrogen (protium) has no neutron, and contains a proton and an electron; Deuterium contains a neutron, a proton and an electron.

SHIT
THAT'S WHY SO MANY PEOPLE WERE TRYING TO MAKE HYDROGEN WITH A NEUTRON
FUCKLES

SORRY
THAT WAS A MISTAKE
I HAVE THIS TENDENCY TO START THINKING ABOUT WHAT I'M GONNA SAY NEXT BEFORE I'M DONE SAYING THE FIRST THING
AND THEN THE FIRST SENTENCE STARTS BECOMING WHAT I'M TRYING TO SAY SECOND

TRUST ME
I'M ALREADY AWARE OF HOW HYDROGEN WORKS
I JUST CAN'T READ MY OWN PAINFULLY BLUE WALLS OF TEXT TO FIND MY TYPOES
BECAUSE I AM AN UNREPENTANTLY LAZY PIECE OF SHIT

ALSO THAT OTHER THING ABOUT FERMIONS IS JUST REDUNDANT CLARIFICATION

sorrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

also

I'm gonna have less time to update on weekdays so if things seem rushed, you'll know why

Vergu:
Code: [Select]
[5/6] You finish honing the art of LEPTONCRAFT. You are now proficient in FERMIONCRAFT.

[16/20, 100% chance of overshoot] You accidentally slam one too many electrons onto this atom of deuterium, filling its only electron shell. You now have a deuterium atom of -1 charge and 5 points in NUCLEAR FUSION.

Varus:
Code: [Select]
[15/16, no actual consequences to overshooting this, really]You are now surrounded with protons, being able to make them casually, having now become proficient in COMPOSITE FERMIONCRAFT and getting your second rank in FERMIONCRAFT.

[15/20] You fuse a hydrogen atom together with ease. +4 NUCLEAR FUSION (7/20)

Vexor:
Code: [Select]
[4/20, not enough skill for even a lucky roll to save you] It would appear that it did not care to come together.

You pull a gluon from your gauge-boson inkwell.

Distrest:
Code: [Select]
[13/16, guaranteed overshoot] Poof, it's a proton. 4, actually. +5 COMPOSITE FERMIONCRAFT (5/16)
[12/16] A neutron, too. +4 COMPOSITE FERMIONCRAFT (9/16)

Ohohoho. You stumble across a shortcut.
Due to the fact that deities make conservation of mass and energy weep, and that energy is a lot easier to make than atoms are to manually fuse, you get the atom to snap together of its own will.
You gain no skill in NUCLEAR FUSION.
It is up to you if you intend to share this discovery with others.
Nobody knows what the others are doing without communication.

Viridian:
Code: [Select]
The electron just won't enter the ring... oh. It seems to already be satisfied with its own two electrons. Huh. So it's of -1 charge.

[10/16] Simple as that, you get another proton. +3 COMPOSITE FERMIONCRAFT (11/16)
[6/16, 68.75% chance of assist][no assist] Nope, no additional proton.
[2/16, same][assist] You get one of three necessary neutrons for the simplest stable isotope of helium.
[1/16, ditto][assist] The second.
[4/16, ugh][no assist] No third.

You need more time to get the two absentees.

Voaster:
Code: [Select]
Quarks are already trivial. You have them organized in practically no time.

[2/6] No electron on first attempt.
[6/6] And then all of them. You are now proficient in LEPTONCRAFT and FERMIONCRAFT.

[1/16] Oops.
[4/16] Fuck.
[14/16, yes overshoot] You get four protons! +5 COMPOSITE FERMIONCRAFT (5/16)
[1/16, no hope] No fifth. Moving on to neutrons.
[16/16, 16.667% overshoot][overshoot] Four neutrons, too. +10 COMPOSITE FERMIONCRAFT (15/16)
[3/16, 93.75% assist][assist] There you go, a fifth. Time to try for that proton once more.
[14/16] Ah, proficiency in COMPOSITE FERMIONCRAFT. It does you good. All the protons and neutrons you'd need.

You have no more time in this turn.

Vellos:
Code: [Select]
[14/20] Success! One completely normal deuterium atom! +4 NUCLEAR FUSION (4/20)

[1/16, 25% chance of assist][no assist] Aw. No proton.
[4/16, ditto] Still no proton.
[10/16] You get a neutron, though. +3 COMPOSITE FERMIONCRAFT (7/16)
[14/16, 12.5% chance of overshoot][overshoot] An even split of 2 neutrons and 2 protons. +5 COMPOSITE FERMIONCRAFT (12/16)

Vazul:
Code: [Select]
[6/16] The first is not successful.
[2/16] Neither is the second. Infuriating.

Hvlophex:
Code: [Select]
[2/16] No first proton.
[1/16] No second.
[9/16] Fortunately, a neutron. +2 COMPOSITE FERMIONCRAFT (2/16)
[1/16] AUGH

Pardon my slip of mental tongue, my students, but I said something incorrectly.
A hydrogen atom requires a proton and an electron.
You seem to have recognized this mistake before I have.
