"Well, let's get it to him. Hopefully he'll appreciate the trouble we went to for it." Aiesha hoisted herself and the axe onto Prata's back.

Jesseo rode up to the rest, making sure outliers (ie Lucrezia) were back and the party was at its optimal personnel count. She upended a boot and watched sand pour out with a somber expression.

"One day, Apura, I'll master that scroll I brought. And then no more sand in your shoes (or mine). You'll feel the wind in your mane and be free from dirt." she said to her mount.

When Beryn arrives...
"Everyone alright? Beryn, did you see any stragglers from up there? How far are we from a water source? Cetus, Luc, are you both feeling ok?"

[Sirus]

Fer approached the nun.
:"Hey, uh, Amberly, I saw those attacks, are you okay...?""

The nun in question was breathing heavily, small crackles of electricity still arcing between her gloved fingers.

: "Thank you for your concern, but I am fine. Most of them missed me anyway. I see that you appear to be fully recovered from earlier."

Fer wiped his brow with one of the folds of his robes -- it was hot.
:"Ah -- yes, a combination of time and Cetus being quite good at his craft, that."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Of course he will. Almost as much as we'll appreciate getting out of this heat, right boy?"

Prata chirped both agreement and suffering as he took to the air once more, the short flight landing them near the group. Jesseo questioned Beryn immediately.

"Hmm? Uh, no, I think we're all here. And I didn't see no water. I think we got enough to get us where we're going anyway, though."

Aiesha climbed down off of Prata and held out the new axe to Baurus. "Yo Barry, got something for you."

Fer wiped his brow with one of the folds of his robes -- it was hot.
:"Ah -- yes, a combination of time and Cetus being quite good at his craft, that."

Amberly noticed the other mage's discomfort.

: "He is rather good at his job, but he can't do anything about the heat. You should really be wearing a hat or something out here, Fer. Do you need some water?"

[Powder Miner]

:"Hah, I think it's more all the robes than anything else. But if you do have water that would be greatly appreciated."

[Sirus]

: "I'm sure that the robes don't help, but a good head covering in these conditions can go a long way. Anyway, drink this." Amberly passed over a small waterskin she had tied up around her robe's belt. "I'm afraid it will be more than a little warm. Assuming the Old Gods can be stopped, one thing I'm very much looking forward to is that refrigeration thing Ms Margaret talked about."

[Powder Miner]

:"Warm water's better than no water at all, eheh. You aren't going to need this?"

[Sirus]

: "I'll be fine for now. I practically grew up in a desert climate, don't forget."

[Powder Miner]

:"...oh, right. Solid point, that. Well, in that case, thank you!" Fer proceeded to down a third  of the water skin with alarming alacrity.

[Sirus]

: "You're welcome."

: "Hmm...now that I think about it, I don't think you ever said much about where you're from. Would you mind sharing?"

[Powder Miner]

:"I could have sworn so mentioned it once or twice. Well, I'm from Duo Alvada, where my family's library is. So I'm cityfolk, haha."

[GiglameshDespair]

"I-I'm f-fine, Jo."

"Hmm? Uh, no, I think we're all here. And I didn't see no water. I think we got enough to get us where we're going anyway, though."
