Seeing herself pretty much alright with her family staff, and deciding that the expenditures can go to more fruitful ends, Jesseo spent her time with the others left behind, deciding to check if Lucrezia was doing alright.

She approached her.

Stheno was a bit taken aback by Lucrezia leaping into what she thought would end at a brief bit of teasing, followed by telling Beryn that the girl had a crush on him later when they had time to talk again. Puppet girl wasn't as much of a wallflower as she appeared.

"You're bolder than I expected."

"Which may work out, as he's rather aggressive himself. Don't start thinking that he's chivalrous because he took you up in the sky and showed you a romantic view. He does this kind of thing with a lot of girls, sweeping them off their feet, so you'll need to keep that in mind if you don't think you can handle jealousy well. I mean, you saw how he acted after you landed."

"Pardon if this is too personal, but... Is he your first? You seem fairly young so I don't know if you've dealt with this kind of experience. I mean, you probably have, but given at least one member of this group comes from a monastery I'd better check to see if you know what you're getting into. I wouldn't want to help a girl get up in the saddle only to come crashing down."

Beryn had elected to stick with Baurus for the time being. The big guy was fairly jolly and generally fit the hunter's own temperament well. Right now, they were a little ways away from the rest of the group, with Beryn sitting on a crate with his elbows on his knees.

"So, uh, the other red... she your sister or cousin or something?"

Barry had finished loading a crate off the ship when he answered Beryn.

: Naw, she's just one o'the new mates aboard. Lass' fun but a wee of an airhead sometimes.

: Oi, now that I'm done with this ye want to go get a drink? I went dry for too long and I want to get BLOOTERED!

Beryn hopped off the crate, hooked his thumbs in his belt, and fell into step beside the big man.

"So, OK, great. I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to offend you with this one. Her name's Alicia, right? You think she, uh...?"

The hunter put his right fist near his mouth and moved it slightly, puffing out his left cheek in time in a rather obscene gesture to anyone who understood it.

"I'm just saying, the girl is fine. And she seems like she's down for a good time. The other ones all kinda seem like the 'long haul' sort of girls, and I ain't too sure about that. Too young to settle down and all of it."

: But if ye manage to make a drink with the same taste I bet she will do anything for ya! BAHAHAHA!

Barry approached the counter and asked for refreshments.

: Oi! Two beers over here! And one more for the lad!

: 'Ere we go! Now if ye want something else instead of the beer just ask for it and give it to me so it doesn't go to waste!

Beryn grabbed his pint and chugged it down, then slammed it on the bar.

"Fill it back up!"

He rested his elbow on the bar and turned to Baurus.

"So, drinking contest? Want to see who can drink the most before tapping out?"
