Alicia refused to step inside the staff shop. Her business was in killing people, NOT healing them. If she hadn't been assigned to lug around that stupid rock, she'd would have wandered off to the bar already. She double checked her satchel. Yep. Still there. Though her vulnerary was gone. Which was odd, and discomforting. Alicia planned on plying a vial from Barry's stock after he was good and drunk. Tapping the wall behind her, she looked at the sky, then at the ground, then longingly at the nearby weapon shop. This was getting dull. Terribly dull.

: "Ceeetusss. You almost done in there? I want to see if any new rapier's came in."

[Swordstar]

Not even glancing back at her, Cetus shook his head.

"I need to be smart about this. And you already have two nice swords, you don't need more. There are others who need new weaponry more than you and our funds aren't unlimited."

: "Hmmph. Don't be a such a hypocrite. I saw that new staff you've been lugging about. You don't have any good reason for being here either. I'm certain that we can find better uses for our money than buying more flashy sticks."

Suddenly the alchemist was next to her.
Oh, the wyvern ride - that was fun. And such a cute beast could charm anyone. She still wanted to pet the adorable creature. She gratefully seized on the distraction.

"Y-yes..." she said shyly, slightly intimidated at the sudden conversation.

"I'm here because my heal staff is almost broken. So unless you don't want me healing you, I'd be quiet and let me figure out what we need."

Alicia snorted. Surrree it was...

: "Just don't take too long. I'm getting bored out here."

Suddenly the alchemist was next to her.

Stheno was a bit taken aback by Lucrezia leaping into what she thought would end at a brief bit of teasing, followed by telling Beryn that the girl had a crush on him later when they had time to talk again. Puppet girl wasn't as much of a wallflower as she appeared.

"You're bolder than I expected."

"Which may work out, as he's rather aggressive himself. Don't start thinking that he's chivalrous because he took you up in the sky and showed you a romantic view. He does this kind of thing with a lot of girls, sweeping them off their feet, so you'll need to keep that in mind if you don't think you can handle jealousy well. I mean, you saw how he acted after you landed."

"Pardon if this is too personal, but... Is he your first? You seem fairly young so I don't know if you've dealt with this kind of experience. I mean, you probably have, but given at least one member of this group comes from a monastery I'd better check to see if you know what you're getting into. I wouldn't want to help a girl get up in the saddle only to come crashing down."

After a bit of hesitation, Amberly decided to go with Elanore anyway. She did want to see the sights after all, and she figured that Fer might be able to serve as a mediator if the two women began arguing again.

Fer followed Amberly and Elanore:
:"...I think I'd like to come with you two, see if there are any fire tomes."

  "I'd imagine that there would be, fire seems to be a pretty popular kind of magic, possibly because of all of the uses it has.."  Elanore idly mentioned, while walking towards the bookstore. Her mind was mostly preoccupied on how to apologize to the nun. Eventually, she just decided to walk a little closer to Amberly.
  "Hey, Amberly. Mind if we have a small talk? I won't take up too much of your time, but I'd also like it if it were private."

Amberly put down the Shine tome that she had been examining (nice as it was, she did have two mostly-new tomes already and it would be selfish to try and get more), nodded to the dark mage, and moved to a section of the book store that seemed mostly deserted.

Beryn had elected to stick with Baurus for the time being. The big guy was fairly jolly and generally fit the hunter's own temperament well. Right now, they were a little ways away from the rest of the group, with Beryn sitting on a crate with his elbows on his knees.

"So, uh, the other red... she your sister or cousin or something?"

: "No. That's not what I was asking.  I wanted to know if you were still feeling steady; not the state of your supplies. You a military daughter or something?"

...Feeling...steady? Is this a landlubber term for...steady on land? Or...steady in...relations?...Is...
Um.
"Um, not-...exactly. Parents could be in the military but...I don't really know. They seemed knowledgeable enough to hold their own b-but...ah, hold on."

Jesseo took a deep breath as she realized where her thoughts were taking her, looking to the side.

"What do you mean by steady?"

She spotted Lucrezia in her peripheral vision, and waved at her with a tiny smile.

Elanore followed, taking a couple of glances to make sure that the two were surely private. After a couple of moments, she sighed.
  "I.. Wanted to apologize to you for how much I've antagonized you. I've probably put a large damper on the first time you've really left your monastery, but understand this. When I was talking to Cetus, my intention was not to cause trouble for trouble's sake. It seems as though he had enough of a problem around your monastery to completely forget the wounded, which at that point included me with a lovely axe wound to the chest. The way I figure it, if he feels as though there's someone who thinks likewise to him, he's gonna have an easier time of it in those places. That's what the conversation was. Otherwise, to be brutally honest, I don't care much about the places that worship the old gods." Elanore stopped for a couple of moments, giving Amberly time to take in all of that.
  "Point is, I'm not trying to target you specifically or anything. Sorry if you felt that way."

Amberly blinked, astonished and more than a little angry. What kind of apology was that?!

: "...If that's all you have to say, then I suggest we go back to what we were doing."
