He frowned, clearly not looking forward to heading inside.

Amberly looked the redhaired woman directly in the eyes and gave a small shake of her head, before leading the way to the dining hall. There she approached a few of the younger acolytes and whispered to them:

: "Fetch water for these warriors, please. They drove off the bandits outside."

"Gotta be better than standing out here in the sunlight." Aiesha said, not really giving any consideration to why Cetus might not be comfortable entering the temple of a different religious sect. She went inside, fully expecting Cetus to follow.

"Oh, I recognise this type of lance. These are rare, I used- oh!"

"O-oh, sorry. T-thank you for the lance. I-I'm grateful."

She entered the temple and nodded politely to the priestesses within.

Staring up at the building, Cetus sighed. All he had to do was not mention who he used to be and it'd be fine. He followed Aiesha in, still uncomfortable but doing his best to act normal.

"Oh, you aren't the only one who can find loot by the way! I found this interesting ring buried in the sand. I think it can boost one's magical ability."

He held it out to let her inspect it.

: "That's fine I guess. Amberly right? Names' Alicia. Nice to meet you."

Cetus frowned at Alicia.

"Stop that. You know she's not allowed to talk to us, why would you continue to ask her things?"

Aiesha held up the ring to her eye before setting it back in Cetus's hand. "Neat. You decide what you're doing with it yet? Elanore or Fer would probably be happy with it as a 'bonus'. Or you could use it. Not sure you need it though, you're already really good at patching us up."

"Naw, haven't had much time to think about it. We'll see, I guess. Probably have plenty of time to figure it out, kinda suspect we'll be here. Ugh, did not think the House of Scholars would be a nunnery."

Amberly nodded politely at Alicia, then waved the priest's concerns away. The convent was normally so maddeningly quiet, she actually enjoyed having people chatting away around her.

"Yeah, to be honest I was more expecting lots of old fat guys with big wizard beards so long they need to tuck 'em into their belts, you know?"
