"...and think next time before you sneak out, Amberly! What if those damned raiders were actually right outside the door? In the name of Undine and all others, you're the worst." The elderly, robed woman pushed a small stone on the wall and the barrier at the door wavered.

"And now you go and welcome these people and bring them here. You will be performing gatekeeping duties for the next month, Amberly."

Amberly nodded, then went outside and gave a deep bow to the newcomers.

Ethan looked the young girl over.

"Hmm, that's quite an-" He bit his tongue.

"A pleasure to meet you. Are you one of the people from House of Scholars? I have some artifact that I have been told could be identified here. You people do it? What are the fees?"

: "Damn. Girl just can't have any fun around here no more."

Alicia had hoped to get her piece into the rogue's spine, but it would seem that Glenn took that joy from her life. No stabs for her today. She walked up to the doorway and glanced out into the desert. Somewhere the fearless first mate was out playing in the desert. It irked her. Her eyes followed the nun as she stepped outside and bowed. She only had one question for her.

: "You got any booze miss?"

Amberly nearly replied to the man's and woman's questions, but bit her tongue and remained silent. She had no idea what sort of fees might have been involved anyway, and there was no "booze".

Instead, the nun gestured towards the main gates and led Ethan to the old Abbess.

Fidgeting slightly, Cetus recognized the outfit and manners of a stricter sect of old god followers as he'd come to think of them since leaving their company.

"You're not going to get any answers from her boss. She's not supposed to talk to outsiders. Maybe not at all depending on how strict this group is. Also, Aiesha was out checking out the desert for loot. She should be catching up soon I hope."

With the excitement and shock of battle gone, Elanore took a deep breath, and steadied herself on the closest rock face, clutching her axe wound. Sighing to herself, she put her tome away.
: "Bloody bandits, can't even die without a fuss.."

Aiesha stumbled toward the group, and waved to Cetus. "Sorry I took so long out there. After I dug up that lance you managed to spot, I saw something else, but I lost it before I could get close, and I'm not combing that sandbox for it all day. I think I got sunburnt as it is." Aiesha turned to Lucrezia. "Hey, you think you can use this thing? Looks pretty nasty. Like, in a good way."

Ethan listened to Cetus, and then followed inside the abbey.

"It's cool in here. Almost cold." He noted. The elderly woman approached.

"You can leave if you don't like it here, mister."

"Such sass. And I'm here to pay for things! Shouldn't you be more polite to a potential customer?"

"My abbey, my rules. What is it that you seek, little boy?"

"..." Ethan, feeling out-sassed for a moment, simply procured the orb from his jacket and passed it to the elderly woman.

"And this is?"

"I actually hoped you could tell me." The abbess looked at the orb, then looked at it while tilting her head downwards a little, and grumbled.

"I believe I can. Amberly! Take these people to the dining hall and tell the acolytes to give them some water. They must be thirsty. I will be going to the Chamber of Ancient Wisdom with this. Do not disturb me."

"Hey! How am I to believe you're not going to steal the thing or break it?"

"Hmph! Why would I?" And the woman sped away deeper into the building.

Ethan scratched his forehead.

"If you're sunburned, I can try to help. Both with my healing staff and I think I might have a salve in my bag that would help."

"Well it's not like I'll know for sure until tomorrow. You know how if you've been out in the sun, and your skin feels... Sorta tight but not exactly sensitive as such? And then the next day you have a sunburn? I think I feel that coming on."

Alicia addressed Cetus coldly on the subject of Aiesha.

: "One would hope... But I'm not going to hold my breath."

She darted inside after the nun before she could be proven wrong. If she couldn't have fun with weapons, she may as well see if she could get Amberly to break her vow of silence for kicks and giggles.

: "So uh... This whole vow of silence thing. Is it fun?"
