To finish off someone they must be permanently incapacitated. If Micelus rolls well, he can awaken next turn. This normally means kill, but I put it this way in case someone gains an ability which makes them invincible or invulnerable, since it would be impossible to kill them in either case, but they could still be incapacitated by several methods, ex. burying them under a mountain of rubble or launching them into space adrift.

Well, I completely missed this starting up again. The wait-list is already a mile long, but add me to it anyway. This is probably one of my favorite concepts overall for a forum game.

Edit: As a side-note, you seem to be handing out a lot more weapons/items than in the old game. I'm of the opinion that this is a good thing, but it sometimes seems slightly arbitrary whether or not an article grants an item. Can't really give any specific examples of what I mean, unfortunately. Also everyone seems to have infinite ammo and I guess that's kind of weird, though I guess its nice not to have to worry about such things. More death is always a good thing I suppose.

There is no strict system for what exactly an article gives out, simply because a lot of articles don't have that much material to work with. In the last few games when someone would get an obscure ability it usually resulted in running as far away from combat and farming that ability in some way, which discouraged combat. I didn't throw away non-combat abilities entirely, but I wanted to give out more useful and versatile abilities to foster creativity in how they can be utilized.
Ammunition isn't a factor this round, it may be in the future. Right now the only limitation is that powerful weapons have some sort of drawback, such as the Nuclear Rocket Launcher which required a turn to reload after each shot.

Round 8: Basketball VS. Artillery

Ddynamo scoots backwards, on his back, as the officer pursues him, jumping off the missile platform. Ddynamo decides that this has gone to far and draws for his Officer's Pistol. (2 vs. 5) A couple bullets plunge into the metal skin of the external parts of the missile system, but none manage to hit the officer, who ducks down to avoid the pistol fire.

Kj begins construction of his worldwide railroad track. (6+2) He lays down about 15 yards worth of track in the next ten minutes or so. It's good progress, only 43,826,713 more yards to go. Kj hears sirens going off down towards the hospital, something exciting must be going on over there.

Yourmaster calls up his record company to fly in and attempt to barter his freedom for the rights to his rap music. They tell him they will be in Bangladesh as soon as possible. Yourmaster is then escorted out of the holding cell into a private room with his attorney. The attorney tells him, "For your alleged use of a Nuclear Rocket Launcher the justice system is charging you with Mass Murder and Terrorism with a Nuclear Weapon."

Micelus, unconscious, tries to prompt himself to wake back up. (3) He stirs very briefly but remains completely still.

Hawk runs outside and begins lobbing basketballs at the 2K12 Kub S.A.M. Missile System. (9+1) He manages to crush the electronic interface, and as the screen caves in, the platform stops moving and begins inoperable, at least through normal means.
(7+1 vs. 5) One of the basketballs bounces off the platform and hits the police officer going after Ddynamo in the back of the leg, he trips up and falls on the ground.

Execute snatches up Micelus's Scimitar and kicks off his metal helmet, exposing his skull. (8+4) The sword is driven straight through the back of Micelus's head and into his brain, which is severed in two. With the scimitar firmly stuck, Execute leaves it there and takes the Compound Bow, closing the blinds of the windows in preparation for the S.W.A.T. Team's arrival.
Execute has executed Micelus by his own blade! He gains an article:

Kevak continues either concocting a survival strategy or being useless.


The S.W.A.T. Truck parks on the edge of the street next to the Hospital. 6 S.W.A.T. Officers rush out dressed in full armor and wielding heavy-duty firepower as they sprint towards the scene of the call....
