I actually have a wildly different hypotheis/incomplete theory on from where the Null come from. Yours doesn't exactly make sense, as the Null have spheres just as much as Gods do.

The first time I died it was the fake-Emperor that killed me. The second time I died was when Fusil revived. I've summed that up as some kind of Void trickery. The fourth time I died was a controlled suicide with pleasing results. The fifth time I died was when the new fake-Emperor (which I've summed up as more Fusil trickery, just like the first time) sucker-killed me in the Death Battle Plane with some cheat sword. This is the sixth time I died.
