: "No. You are not."

Laura slinked between the angry pirate and happy rider.

"Good luck going through me!"

Alessa replied to Kyle's answer in haste.

     "And if you try that, you'll be dead before you raise an axe to him."

She had her arrow nocked and ready to draw.

     "We're all tense with emotions here, but let's leave space for our brains, shall we? First priority: Get out of here. Second priority: Find safety. Tertiary priority? Belay emotions."

     "Someone, wave a torch and check the area. Any egress of escape?"

Lamden steps between Tomik and Kyle.
: "What's done is done, blast it! We've suffered no casualties, and we live to fight another day."

Picking himself up, Abel mutters quietly to himself.

"Okay, that's it, I'm done overthinking things. Nothing ever happens logically anyway in this blasted world. Two years spent wandering the world studying things and I've barely learned a thing. Oh if my master could see me now. We should be dead or at least down a member, but nope, all alive, all well and goo-well, mostly good."

He then speaks more loudly loudly.

"Anyone got a pickaxe? Also, it may not be my place to speak but please leave the infighting for later. We're already in a bad spot. No need to make it worse."

Kyle turns an impressive shade of red.
"I don't give a shit about you guys right now. But you've all had to have heard the prophets! He could have just killed everyone in the world!"

[Haspen]

"I was kidnapped from my post and so far haven't caught up on anything actually. _{Tomik I think we should talk later!} Preaching to the deaf, big guy!"

Tomik finally looked up and glared at Kyle.

"What I've *done* is given us all a chance to escape. If we'd tried to keep the orb from him, he would have killed us all. Instead I saved us all, and now we're alive and can hunt him down and stop whatever he's going to do. So stop trying to solve every problem with your axe, and maybe consider that other people have some idea what they're doing."

"Don't give me that bullshit! You have no idea what you're doing otherwise you would have killed that man and have been done with it!"

[Sirus]

Harlan facepalmed.

: "You probably couldn't even kill me. How would you hope to kill something like that person?"

"I'm not deaf. Unfortunately, in this case we were just too heavily outclassed. It's a miracle we're all alive, there's no way we could have prevented that man taking the orb."

[Tiruin]

     "Point taken, Kyle. We can't squibble about it now. What we can do, is get out of here--and a pickaxe is nothing at hand, as far as what we've got. There must however be another way out--if indeed the architect of this place can actually afford the mechanisms to...well, move this area one floor down. It's another test of wits."

     "Or, we can spend time arguing here over past mistakes. That would help exact revenge faster. Sarcasm aside, focus people. Drop those grudges. Nobody's dead. Let's use our lives constructively."

Loud sounds started coming from the hallways. Soon there were hunks of metal standing in the middle of them, and behind them, fragile looking constructs that spit fire out of their arms.

And they turned to the intruders, ready to dispose of them.
