They wheeled the generator up and plugged it into the port behind the passenger-side door. "So, can we stuff it in the seat and drive like this, or do we need to wait here a while?"

"It's theoretically possible to drive while charging. Especially as you're planning to go slow. But you'll need to let it charge for a few minutes before the engine will properly start."

"Okay, so, in the meantime, should we all just wait in the back of the van? Also, who's driving?"

Rolep moved forward and to one side, to try and test if the apparition was truly following him. And, if he got just a bit closer like that, he could get some dust into the air to try and coat it or disorient it that way as a preliminary tactic. Hopefully, anyway.
