I just released a new version, the bug *should* be fixed now.

grand I am enjoying the sandbox immensely and was frustrated by being unable to scale to those huge sharky ships

The game sounds interesting. Any spinal weapon options?
Spinal weapons are possible but right now there is no hull which have a spinal cannon slot

there seems to be an issue in new release, at some point all weapons just turn red and stop firing.

component view shows weapons still healthy. ship has power and thing, as far as I can tell.

how do I take a screenshot to show component/tactical/power views?

Use the printscrn keyboard key.
Are they overheated?

I'm really enjoying it so far. A few things though, firstly I think it would be a good idea to have the ship already equipped with basic weapons already set up. You can always strip it if you want, and it'd really help in the testing phase to be able to just start instantly.

Secondly, do you need any music/atmospheric background noise? It can get a bit quiet, and I'd be more than happy to do you some background music (for free of course). This is some of the work I did for a game (which unfortunately never came out) a while back: https://soundcloud.com/undercult/level3/s-t26lr

While I couldn't do an entire score, I could do some light background ambience to help it feel a bit less quiet if you'd like.

With enough work and polish, it could have been a forgettable flash game on Kongregate.

My ship is dead in space again :P

What does it mean when your power plant has a square icon with an x inside?

I have some fuel left it seems and component is undamaged.

Fuel cells use LOX and LH2, you need both of them

Do you mean in wave mode? In sandbox easy the ship start with some weapons.

So no way to recover after surviving a fight with powerplant damaged or no fuel or things like that?

If don't have working powerplants or batteries you didn't really survived. If you have a second ship you can use it to refuel the empty one. With a space yard you can also repair.

How do I exit the trade screen?

I see what appears to be a button saying close at the top right but the "Credits" count runs over it and won't let me click on it.

You can't exit with negative credits.  Adjust your trade so that it is zero or positive.

Nope that's not it, it does it if I change nothing at all.

It also does it if I cheat in credits prior. So it's not credit amount related.
