Indeed, but we're all performing the same role, and there's no party dynamic.
...Have you looked at my class abilities?

Yeah... Looking at this party it's not really a question anymore of how you guys got stomped. Also, Harbinger, once your sheet is a bit more finished I'll add it to the OP. For now though it looks just fine.

I'm working on a moral code for my character. It's a modified version of Léon Gautie's "popular summary" of the "ancient code of chivalry", as originally detailed in his La Chevalerie.
Quote
1. Never lie or go back on one's word.
2. Believe the Church's teachings and observe all the Church's directions. (Wee Jas, in this case.)
3. Defend the Church.
4. Respect and defend all weaknesses.
5. When strength is raised, there is no weakness.
6. Show no mercy to the Infidel. Do not hesitate to make war with them.
7. Resources raised in strength are forfeit.
8. Those who serve you are your weakness. Protect them to the end.
Thoughts?

I know the Marshall and Bard abilities. You're my character except better optimized, which makes me want to fall back on my half-troll backup just so I don't feel useless here. The party really needs a bruiser, besides, but I didn't want to have to play low-intelligence again.

Hm... Is this going to be a problem? Cause I'm willing to work with you guys here on alternate class features or something so that everyone can play the character they want without being redundant.

Honestly, I don't really see the overlap; I'm basically an AVOID COMBAT AT ALL COSTS buffing machine, using auras and songs to boost everyone else, and capable of significant face ability, while Rem is a relatively sneaky-fighty character with also-quite-significant face abilities.
It's not like having multiple people with their own face abilities won't be useful, after all.

I don't know. I think the main problem here is that we're all going for the same characters.

Do monks get any of the customary bonuses to make them slightly less bad (Full BAB, proficient with their own fists, non-armored armor enchants)?

My character has little sneaking skill, no sneak attack, and is designed not to be in combat at all.

Sure... How's about.... Monks follow Fighter BAB advancement, are proficieint with their own fists, and can get enchanted clothing.

Seems fair to me.

Alright, here's my actual sneaky-fighty type. Stealthy, maneuverable, and carrying incapacitation ability and enough burst damage to take out targets quickly, with Fast Healing to weather short-term assaults.

I'm a debuff/direct damage caster, but able to branch out as the situation demands it. And I'll be getting Undead Leadership.

Hey, man, I'm bruisery.  Sure I don't top end for 40+ damage, but I do manage 32 max damage without crits.  Average of 21 or something.

I have trapfinding twice.  The only ACF for trapfinding that I've seen gives Wis bonus to something (Antiquarian, add your Wisdom bonus to appraise checks) which I don't benefit from.  At all.  So I dunno, I'd like to swap the Rogue's Trapfinding for... how about a +2 bonus to Search?

You'll need to link to the Half Troll thing. If you please.

@Teal How about you get "Skill Focus: Search" as a bonus feat instead?

...For some reason I was thinking Petal instead of Pixie. Yes, much less sneaky. Though Sneak attack is hardly the be-all and end-all of steathy combat.

http://realmshelps.net/monsters/templates/halftroll.shtml

I would play a full troll, as it's considerably simpler and plays to my strengths more, but they're +5 LA and I don't feel like playing an NPC class.

HP

I still like the pixie better for flavor, but I'm keeping this one as backup.

EDIT: Thinking about it, we could use someone with Knowledge and/or Gather Information kinds of skills. We don't have anyone yet who can find information.
