Yeah, but at that size their cognitive abilities would have to scale up as well for them to function well and they'd be able to be domesticated like cats/dogs, or at least trained like wolves.

The spider looks tarantula-like so I don't think it's dangerous. Like, if it's dangerous then it'd be wolf-dangerous more than "aw fuck venomous spiders" dangerous.

Well, all spiders possess venom. The difference, then, is if that venom even affects humans, and the amount necessary for it to begin to affect humans. Obviously a larger spider has more venom in there. If you're pumped full of a large quantity of a foreign substance your immune system would throw a tantrum regardless, right?

Also I thought it was a jumping spider.

The eyes make me think jumping spider (tarantula eyes are arranged differently), but the legs, pedipalps, and chelicerae made me think tarantula.  I could see it either way.

Also, fun fact: there is actually a family of spiders that lacks venom.  They instead wrap the prey in a web cocoon and regurgitate digestive acid to dissolve the prey even without venom to paralyze or kill (in the case of necrotic bites) the prey first, though, so it's kind of a horse apiece.

And there is the issue of the spider being able to puncture skin, due to its larger fangs.

Large-type spiders like that don't give me the creeps because they're not generally highly venomous. Spiders like black widows or golden orbs, though, have that slightly alien, otherworldly look to them which I find both beautiful and terrifying.
