My guy's a bit young :-\
Although nightclubs will attract the shady stuff he's involved with.
Guess he'll know them.

And 19 Charisma on the 80 year old means Barney in his old man disguise. Probably runs a strip joint.
Not all that far off, actually. I don't want to spoil the introduction I planned, though :P.

Meanwhile Moses is the terminator.

To give you an idea of how tough he is; Massive Damage Threshold is equal to your Constitution score.

If you take damage equal to or greater than your massive damage threshold, you have to make a DC 15 Fort save or get reduced to -1 hit points.

Moses has a massive damage threshold such that he cannot be dropped in that way by a 12-gauge shotgun blast(that isn't critting, that is). At level 1.

He also has enough HP that a typical pistol shot cannot bring him down with just one hit.

He's that fucking tough.

Fuck yeah rolling 18s is awesome. :P

So, uhh, how does Reputation work?

And if we're all going to have been in a friend's group (other than Remuthra, but he's the guy who probably commissions all this shit with his wealth and Charisma and elderliness and whatnot), we should probably work with each other in terms of backstory.

What kind of 'criminal' is Erik, for example? I mean, Moses is a Bouncer, but I used the Adventurer occupation because it fit most closely(meaning it was the only one with Brawl as a bonus feat and Intimidate as a skill), so you might not necessarily do illegal stuff...

Though with a Bouncer, a PI, and a criminal in the same group, it would make for a very good story of how we met...

My suggestion? Have him be an ex-criminal.

And hopefully older, since it would be pretty damn odd if we were including some kid in the group. But then again, maybe he's James Jamison's great-grandson.

So, uhh, how does Reputation work?
I believe it modifies the ability to find information and to influence others. It's added to various skills.

No I mean how do I calculate it?

Also, Tawarochir, I have to ask you a question. Will I reliably be able to use my Strength and/or Constitution bonus for Intimidate instead of Charisma? And will I receive a firearm as part of my equipment as an upper-middle class bouncer for what is probably a popular upper-class nightclub or something? Or will I receive armor, or what? It affects my feat choice.

I'll admit I pictured my guy as not being part of the group in the very very beginning, rather having them meet due to him being a criminal and them being crimefighters.
Also, it's not my fault all your characters are so damn old :P

So, first off, 25 isn't old. It's still young adult by most reasonable definitions of the word(this game has weird definitions of age categories).

Secondly, what kinda place would have a 17 year old bouncer?

Thirdly, can you imagine some teenager being able to take bullets to the gut like a champ and still beat the crap out of you?

By the way, is there any way to improve the DC to save against Massive Damage that people have to make when I start using Knockout Punch? Like every X amount of damage above their threshold or something improves the DC by one?

As far as I know, it should be zero for you. Mine comes from class, occupation, and feat bonuses.

So, approximately how screwed would I be if I went down to a 9 wealth bonus? I'd like a phone, but I'm only at 10 wealth at the moment, how vital is that 1 point for me?
