Over the course of an hour, Darwyn finds enough to feed 8 people for a day. He and Gig arrive at the ship soon after.

random encounter monsters appearKOBOLDS ATTACK!A party of six kobold warriors charges through the town to the south out of the forest. Kobolds have been spotted in the forest for
years, but they've rarely, if ever, attacked the town. Either way, they seem intent on stopping you six from setting sail.
Or swimming.
Or walking.
Or really doing anything except lifelessly lie in the dirt.
One of them, the leader-looking guy, screams something you can't make out in Draconic. The party then jumps on the ship and knocks the gangplank into the water, trapping you on the ship. One of the boarding kobolds has also smashed the ladder above the cabin. He then whips a lock out of-- erm, his loincloth-- and locks the cabin shut.
