Rolling 2d10 average for a skill is 30.

You could do a Ratling but you'd be spending a long time playing catch up trying to boost characteristics. For instance the majority of sniper skills require a ballistic skill of 40+ you'd need all 4 ballistic upgrades for that which would cost you 1600 xp and you'd still miss the top tier ones.

Depends on luck. I have 36 bs and 44 perception now without spending any points on either.

3mans practice character had horrible combat skills but fantastic charisma and intelligence.

I was asking if it was allowed, considering our regiment.. I wasn't sure if it would be appropriate from an RP standpoint.

E: I guess I could play a techpriest with the stats I just rolled. I wouldn't know how to RP a psyker. *shrugs*

Oh. We don't know what regiment type we have yet but it's most likely the tunnel regiment which is CQC. The regiment type itself still needs to be selected.

A team full of predominantly close ranged fighters is horrendously exposed without a couple of longer ranged fighters to provide some cover. What would they do against enemy snipers or enemy heavy weapons? A sniper has 200 range a heavy weapon like auto cannons has 300.
They'll have a range of maybe 100 probably less with a cqc loadout.

Which is where classes like the Ratling come in, they don't need to get anywhere near as close and are a lot less exposed. You could do it without them but balance is a good thing.

I thought you said I shouldn't play a ratling?

E: I mean, everything you said is obviously true, but what does that have to do with my character?

With your stats you shouldn't.
You'd need 1600 xp into BS alone to get it high enough for tier 2 skills.

But you asked if the class itself would be acceptable for the regiment, with the right stats it would be. I am a Ratling sniper myself.

Then we already have a weapon specialist, an operator, 1 storm trooper sheet all in and Varee is just finishing up his own storm trooper now.

It's only a +1 AP for Body if we have the beast hides as they are, so it's probably for the best to have them as decorative only. What are the chances that 1 point of AP will make a difference, anyway? R- right?
Not even that. Cael said increase the Light Carapace to Best, so both it and the Death World Beast Hide Vest give AP 6... But the Hide weighs 20 and covers the Body location, compared to the Carapace's 7.5 for All.

2d10=6, 2d10=4, 2d10=13, 2d10=12, 2d10=4, 2d10=19, 2d10=7, 2d10=17, 2d10=12

Weapon Skill 26
Ballistic Skill 24
Strength 33
Toughness 22
Agility 24
Intelligence 39
Perception 27
Willpower 37
Fellowship 22
Unless I'm misreading, you added +10 to your Fellowship roll, rather than +20.

I see. I probably should've bothered to see what everyone else was playing. :p Can you help me set up a techpriest using the stats I rolled?
I should probably warn you in advance, you aren't the only one playing a Techpriest. That said, I actually wouldn't advise a Techpriest; Toughness is fairly important for them, since it influences their ability to get UPGRADES! Or if you are going to play one, I'd reroll Toughness.

Yeah that best quality carapace is far superior.

As far as I'm aware.
We have 1 Ratling. ( Me. )
2 Storm troopers.
1 Operator.
1 Weapon Specialist.

With completed sheets, or complete as far as is possible without the regiment ready.

Then 1 person said they'd be a commi and 1 said they'd be a tech plus you want tech. Best I can tell with your int and fell your best suited to the priest itself or librarian. But Harb knows those classes far better then I do.

Yep. Edited that so it's correct. Not that it changes much. :p

2d10=7 So +5 from before. That's a little better.

Yep. Let me see if I remember my password.

Wait no I screwed up twice. I should have 32 toughness. So that roll would be worse.

Why did I say techpriest? I meant Ministorum.

Anyway, yeah my Skype's working. Just PM me when you're ready.
