The testing was only for new characters if I recalled correctly, so characters gaining abilities wasn't really covered.

Ah, static numeric bonuses combined with multiple attacks. Yeah, that definitely could cause issues.

Um... please correct me if I made a mistake in this.
Assuming a Hail Mary attack with a regular katana without using Chained (because I have no idea how it works), damage range is [d15]+3 for average damage of 8+3, autohits 20/2 times. So 110-[10xAverage_Defense] physical damage. I have no idea what that magic damage stuff means, is that additional damage?

Assuming a Hail Mary attack with mordite blade without using Chained (because I have no idea how it works), damage range is [d15]+7 for average damage of 15, autohits 13/2 times. So 90-[6xAverage_Defense_Without_Armor] physical damage that ignores most armor. Well, the regular katana seems more dangerous since it doesn't need any preparation and deals more damage, this seems more situational for targets with armor that can be ignored.

Uh, is that damage too much for it's cost? I have no idea what the hell Chained is meant to do, is it only meant to affect normal strikes? Is it meant to basically double the strike quantity?

EDIT: Added defense note. If armor is greater than +5 defense, the Mordite blade deals more damage.

If I'm reading Ahsley's sheet correctly...

Her perk Double-Strike lets her chain Tele-strikes that scales with level.

Her Chaos Star Barrage is a Spend all current mana for X attacks. This puts her into Emptied state and makes it so she can't cast anymore damage spells.

Now, unless projeck says they do synergise, They don't work together. The double strike perk only works on Telestrikes. CSB is not teleportation but a slow time bubble that allows her to speed up her attacks to inflict major damage. So yeah. I don't see a problem.

Chained only works with normal attacks. It doesn't blend with specials at all.

And if I remember right, it scales every 8 stat points? So that's every 2 levels assuming I only go for Skill each level, for it to increase by one. Although, as of right now, I only need 2 more stat points to increase it to a max of 3 (then it'll have a passive mana cost of 2 for 3 strike chains, then 3 mana at 4 strike chains.). This'll help balance it as her strike amounts get higher, as she won't be able to go above 2 after a CSB, and if she does do these, it'll decrease CSB's effectiveness.

Given all of the shit I've gotten about Hakim, I am 95% certain that you could get away with ripping off a ton of stuff in this game. Maybe not characters or anything obvious like that, but background and mechanics definitely. Appearances would have to be changed too, but that's easy stuff.
