Magic has shown its face around these parts. How do you feel about it?

It's not reasonable! Quit messing around with the laws of reality!

Meh, who cares? Reasonable people work with what they're given.

Most excellent. It would be reasonable for everyone to have some abilities.

Magic? Huh? You're not reasonable enough in explaining this stuff.

Science is always important. But it needs more flaming cats. Can't we build bridge-based catapults and fling flaming cats at the dust and goo?

It's time for the ATHATH Death Counter to increase once more in celebration for the end of the world.

Disassemble the van and attach the combustion engine to the wheelchair.  Transfer the fuel, start up the engine, and then finish traveling to the lab.

Convince spirits to leave since it's unreasonable to stay in here.

Now would be a good time to test my theory. Defeat my unworthy opponents with the power of cake!
[5]

You miss. The cake is ruined as it splats on the asphalt. The thugs close in on you, brandishing stilettos.

Learn soul combat and devastate them!
[7]

You separate your soul from your body and do some martial arts moves. They do very little due to your incorporeality. At least they aren't eating your soul anymore.

GET THE REMOTE
Push it. Three times!
[12] vs. [3]

Poketwo grabs the device before Sarrak can press the button.

What kind of tank doesn't have a calculator? Go looking for one.
[12]

You look for one, then realize the tank has an onboard computer with the proper calculations for the calibration programmed in. You zero the sights.

Steal a feather!
[17]

You nab one as the phoenix swoops above you again. The feather is on fire, and is causing severe burns on your hand.

Disassemble the van and attach the combustion engine to the wheelchair.  Transfer the fuel, start up the engine, and then finish traveling to the lab.
[11]

You construct a turbo-wheelchair and easily get to the lab, with plenty of fuel left. You clock in and run to the observation deck. The test subject is relaxing in the garden, quite bored.

Convince spirits to leave since it's unreasonable to stay in here.
[18]

They agree, and instead go possess a number of people, including the quest giver.

Now what?
Who knows? Maybe more testing, maybe the garden suddenly turns into a danger room, maybe the universe turns out to be just a machinated illusion...

Wake and realize I over-slept for work. Get showered and dressed and dash off as fast as is reasonable to catch a cab.
[20]

You take the red pill and "wake up". Your work doesn't really matter any more, as it always was just an illusion.

:O I thought this was "Return of Reasonability"? Wow. Sigged tho.

Turn to a co-worker. "Hey, sorry I'm late.  You literally wouldn't believe what happened to me, so I'm just not gonna tell you."

"So what's on the menu for this poor guy?  Physical aptitude tests or the psychological kind?"  Suddenly he had a flash of insight.  "Or... Both?  Do I get creative control on this one?"

Plunge the feather into water on the way to get my burns treated.
[15]

You dip the feather into water. It looks nowhere as beautiful as it did. You glance toward a nearby hospital but the phoenix, now angry, swoops again, knocking you down.

Offer them my +5 crossbow of demon serving in return for not harming me.
[1]

They refuse, knowing exactly what that thing is and what it does. They close in and stab you multiple times until you can't even stand anymore. You need immediate medical aid.

PRESS BUTTON
Get device back!
[8] vs. [9]

Poketwo manages to touch the button and press it slightly, but Sarrak snatches it before it is fully pressed. Are guys going to use it or just to keep fighting over who gets to press the button?

eat some ice cream
[9]

Storebought ice cream. Yummy?

Blast some demons!
[6]

The calculations were correct and the shells go exactly where you aim them, but the demons keep dodging them before they get hit.

I reserve the right to interpret your actions however I want on high and low rolls.

[11]

You join the resistance and soon get jacked in for your training. "Anyone can throw a punch or fire a gun. The hard part is dodging those attacks."

"You can do anything you want. Just try to make it at least somewhat productive and scientific, preferably empirical."

Start beating up the demons somehow.
[3]

No sell. Your soul can't harm them, your body is being pinned down and pummeled.
