"Much like flies are caught in spiderwebs, the Federation soldiers will be caught in our trap."
Take cover and open fire on the Feds if they come closer.

Well you guys are in space. No where to hide, except for the Feds who just mounted up and are right next to their ship.

Totally. More players the better. Just know that I reserve the right to put you on whichever side needs the help most.

@ZeonPlayers Your backpacks activate this upcoming turn since you've been stationary most of the time. The fuel runs down by 1 each turn that it's active, and gives you +1 move. Once the fuel is gone its -1 passive so you'll automatically dump it unless you want to use it for something. You can of course opt not to use the backpack and save the fuel but while its off you're stuck with -1 move. It's up to you.

Turn up later today. Woulda had it sooner but shenanigans with cleaning the house kept me from the computer. Which sucks because I'm really excited to play! D:

Roll for Order
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Final Order!
1 Harry
2 von Strud
3 Dehek
4 Cromwell
5 Franz
6 Jackson

Battle Over Side 4
Jackson and Harry's boosters flare and they blast over the top of the ship at the same time.

Dehek works the slide atop his bazooka and reaches for another shell. He spots the glow of thrusters in the distance, just above the sideways profile of the Salamis, and silhouetted by the massive colony dominating the background. His eyes widen as he punches up the magnification on his main viewer. Franz look out! That's a Federation mobile suit!! Franz sees the clean white colors of the Fed suits as they rocket towards him. That white mobile suit..! IT'S A GUNDAM! Von Strud's head snaps upright, his expression incredulous. WHAT?! A gundam!!?

Jackson remains behind, holding position just above the cruiser, but Harry soars directly ahead towards the pair of Zakus in the distance. One hefts a grey-matte bazooka in one fist, clearly spent, its top-loading chamber already prepared for another round, and the other holds a black 120mm machine gun with a large drum magazine feeding into the top. The MG-Zaku brings his weapon up, but Harry is already there with his beam rifle and takes the first shot, aimed at the dark-green mobile suit. [RESULT] The stream of pinkish-red energy strikes a glancing blow on left side of the Zaku's torso, boiling away a few centimeters of armor but causing no vital damage. It grows noticeably hotter inside Karel's cockpit.

Meanwhile Cromwell remains stationary behind the Salamis, waiting to ambush the remaining Zeon mobile suit. It appears around the aft of the ship moving laterally and much faster than he anticipated. Damn-! He has trouble tracking it as the other pilot finishes stowing his bazooka and readying his MG.

Dehek, his bazooka only partially reloaded, places the weapon in the holster on the lower back of his mobile suit and brings out the machine gun, racking the bolt carefully.

Cromwell finishes adjusting his aim and fires a shot at von Strud's Zaku. [RESULT] The beam strikes his mobile suit where the right leg joins to the hip, superheating the armor and melting the limb clean off. Von Strud struggles to adjust to the massive balance change in his suit [-1 Move/1 Turn].

Franz struggles to place his crosshairs on the flying Federation mobile suit. [RESULT] Franz depresses the trigger and a stream of high-explosive rounds slam into Harry's suit. Only a small portion of the burst lands, but his torso armor still cracks under the pounding.

Jackson aims his beam rifle at the bazooka-Zaku, vulnerable while he's swapping his weapons. [RESULT] The beam passes high over the Zaku's head.

"God damn you!"
Wilhelm fires his rockets while he tries to get used to the changed balance in his Zaku. Once he recovers, he opens fire with his 120mm.

Just need USEC and darkpal.

So yeah the only retcon we've made here is that the Feds secretly had mobile suits in early 0079 and managed to keep it hidden from Zeon (and that the Zeon pilots already knew about Gundams somehow but I just wanted to do the whole "OMG!! It's a Gundam!! D:" thing that always happens :3).

An assumption I've made (not a retcon because its never been established at least to my knowledge where the ship is exactly when the One Year War begins) is that Captain Reed's ship, the original Salamis, which for those of you who have watched the original Mobile Suit Gundam you might remember was the ship that was damaged when it escorted the White Base down to Earth, was above Side 4 when the war began.

In the meantime: yay cool art!

Also the OP has been update with an accurate map of Earth Sphere during this timeline, took me a bit to find it. All those named, weirdly shaped, sorta brown looking artifacts are asteroids that were towed into orbits and turned into bases.

If you do this again at some point since this is just a test, I might suggest using the version of the timeline from The Origin manga. In The Origin, there a was a retcon to make the history of mobile suit development feel less rushed, resulting in the Guntank and Guncannon having been built and mass produced years before the One Year War, and being made outdated at the start of the war by the introduction of the Zakus. And the prototype RX-78 actually gets used and has a competant test pilot in it but got smashed to bits when he breached the reactor of one of the Zakus breaking into Side 7 and blew a hole in the side of the colony.  <--that last line's not very relevant, but I just find it cool :P
