...So why is Tack super scummy again? I beg to differ but I'll explain after you guys.

And fortune teller goes last, judging by the order of operations list.

That's not what I want to know. I want to know whether Fortune Teller gives results from the start of the phase or the end of the phase. E.G., if somebody is a santa and gives a power to somebody, does the new power show up on the Fortune Teller's results?
I asked NQT earlier about it.
Now we wait.

Pretty sure the santa-given powers would show up on my lit considering the order of operations. But I'd like NQT to confirm this, too.

Yeah, you're a dick, NativeForeigner.

Well, let's see. His game-winning strategy on Day 1 was to bandwagon; he frequently posts lists of stuff, and I get suspicious when people post empty contributions like lists and tables and stuff like that; his argument for why Leafsnail is scum is bad, i.e., the guy who took his points away has to be scum, and attributes some of his suspicion to OMGUS; he's being pushy and trying to throw his weight around when it's not called for, e.g., trying to get Leafsnail to claim.

Lots of stuff to set off my radar. But Jack A T's inspect supports his claim, and then Leafsnail stole the same number of points he claimed to have.

Ok, so:
1. Lists and tables are awesome. It collates data which everyone 'sort of knows about' into a form which can produce a definite result.
a) My Miller list combined with the fortune tell allowed for some good scumhuntin'
b) My 'claimed powers' fortune tell list shows up the possible powers of the scumteam. I.E. We know they don't have a day convert yet.
2. A mass claim at this point of the game can only be good for us. Of course, everyone but a few people claiming at this point of the game, is just more power to the scum.

So if you're trying to call the data from my lists into question, buddying leafsnail and yourself have still yet to claim...
I feel like I should be more worried about YOU being scum.

No, NativeForeigner being a Fortune Teller allowed for some good scumhunting.

Anybody could've made the miller list, or collected claims, or otherwise put together publicly available information. That you specifically did it means nothing and I do not count that as contributions to scumhunting.

2. A mass claim at this point of the game can only be good for us. Of course, everyone but a few people claiming at this point of the game, is just more power to the scum.

I'm not opposed to a mass claim but I'm not convinced of its value yet.

I'm also waiting to see what other claims are made first. I'm in a mildly unique position, enough that I think waiting would be valuable.

Also, how come Leafsnail is the only claim you've chased down with any aggression considering how much you support a mass claim?

So if you're trying to call the data from my lists into question, buddying leafsnail and yourself have still yet to claim...
I feel like I should be more worried about YOU being scum.

Hilarious. I besmirch your precious lists and suddenly I'm under suspicion.

You should not confuse disagreeing with your bad arguments as buddying with Leafsnail.

I'm sorry, I've yet to see anyone else put together publicly available information.
Do you usually win your town games, if you lynch everyone who makes the effort?

Oh, sorry, you're in a position where waiting would be more valuable?
I should start hunting you down for not answering the questions, then, right? After all, I'm learning from the best.

Someone cries out in the smoky room. The group shuffle closer. Everyone's still here and still at each other's throats but they look down in horror at each other. In the gloom they have smeared the entrails of the Coward with their stumbling footsteps until all have blood and viscera on their clothes.

Tiriun
NQT: Does Fortune Teller update per day and per night or only tells what exists at game start?
Fortune Teller gives the state of powers at the end of the night in which it is used (as should be clear by the action ordering list). As such, if Santa was used in the night, Santa powers would show up to the Fortune Teller. Likewise, any new powers and autos bought.

@4mask: We know that the recycle is a day power but-... (...can a day power be a free power too? NQT: If a power is both day- and free-, what does the free- do?)
The 'free' give an additional free use of that power during the day phase.

NQT: Does whoever hold the Convert power also have the...power like the cult leader thing? If the Convert-holder dies, all converts die?
No. Converted scum are identical in all ways to scum from the beginning of the game.

NQT: Does the rule of Mafia outnumbering Town = Mafia win work as a set-rule in this game?
I ask because woo, conventional wincon.
No. Mafia can outnumber town and still lose in this set up.

Wolf
NQT: Can powers be bought and cashed in in any order, or do you have to cash in then buy?  Also, what happens when you cash in a one-point power or auto?
You can cash in or buy in any order but the powers don't begin to take effect until after the buying phase is done. Unless you have flexible, you get half the cost of all powers/autos currently sold. Cashing in one one-point power gives you nothing. Cashing in two one-point powers gives you one point.

Jim
NQT, does Fortune Teller report results from the start of the phase or the end of the phase?
The very end of the phase.

Someone just sapped me, by the way.  Hooray for massclaims.

But a scanner can only see the points not taken into account--the free points.
Not enough time to do the maths but I'm doubtful of that area.
Quote
1 - Scan (spot how many points a player has)
I recycled Tack last night so I saw all of his points, invested or not.

I've to ask you, Leafsnail, that in knowing your full capability of deprivation--wouldn't you love to ensure who is town or scum first?
What made Tack your #1 prime suspect?
It would be nice if I could be 100% sure, but in most cases I can't.  And in any case the consequences of a missed recycle/sap are much, much less bad than the consequences of a missed kill (town still has the same number of votes and points), while the benefits of a successful one are vast (a mafia member is rendered useless and the town has more points).

Tack is my #1 prime suspect because
1. He didn't do anything at all on day one.  He made meta-comments and actively refused to vote.  His proposed "scumhunting" strategy was ludicrous.
2. His claim made no sense from a town perspective.  It did, however, make sense from the perspective of a mafia member who didn't want to be blocked.
...But nobody knows that Tack was recycled at the time being. He's one out of the basket.
Except everyone knew Tack was recycled because he claimed as such (and if he were mafia he could also tell his buddies).  I have literally no idea what you're getting at.

A scan will only show how many points Leafsnail has. Which is good, it'll tell me Convert or Recycler. But it won't tell me town or scum.
Likewise, a flavor inspect on Leafsnail won't help, because taking innocent will just show them as a townie, and LS has already claimed recycler.
This contradicts your earlier argument (that we need to find the converter RIGHT NOW) completely.  Surely scanning would be a great way to find out that I'm not the person we need to lynch today (except not because you really want me out of the game before I get a chance to hit the remaining converter)

Well at least now the scan will either point people towards the last remaining sap or mastahcheese.
You should be glad. If you get converted tonight, it's less points for the mafia to get their hands on.

Although my vote still hasn't shifted.

Also Tiruin: as far as I can tell you never actually explained why you voted me.  Why are you voting me?

Well at least now the scan will either point people towards the last remaining sap or mastahcheese.
You should be glad. If you get converted tonight, it's less points for the mafia to get their hands on.
Except that's not hugely helpful if the points are all in mafia hands anyway, is it.

Although my vote still hasn't shifted.
And thus continues your streak of contributing no actual content throughout the entire game.

Are you kidding me? There's two possible scenarios which can happen here:
1. Mastahcheese used sap on you.
2. Mastahcheese is town, and can use his scans to find the scum who sapped you.
I find the first incredibly hard to believe, as his claim puts a target on his back to the unknown third sapper.

So if you hate me trying to make this work, then why don't you go ahead? Who do you think the scumsap is?

(Except not because you really want me out of the game before I get a chance to hit the remaining converter)
Or the other cop

So then, if we make the assumption that you are town, who would you recycle tomorrow night?

I like how you still have not made a single argument as to why I'm scum, other than a stupid one about how I must be the converter (only even if I'm not the converter I should still be lynched anyway).

I say Leafsnail either needs to die today, or will be responsible for us losing tomorrow- because of a convert which we can't protect against anyway.
Since Tack is clearly refusing to respond to any accusations against him, I'd like to address everyone's attention to this post.

In this post Tack says that the converter is someone we need to lynch today, or we will lose.

Only now he's changed to saying that actually I should still be lynched even if I'm the recycler.

He has provided no reason for this change of stance, even after being prompted to do so.
