Started reading it, the Rome-esque race pretty strongly resemble cutebolds for some reason. No idea if that's accidential or on purpose.

The Sahta give me a Toriel-like vibe, particularly her fanart renditions. Goatlike but with floppier ears.

I also read Rice Boy by the same author and can report that's a lot more surreal and the art's much rougher, but still a pretty great read and actually complete.

Guess it's down to the smooth, mostly featureless skull and the ears in the back, rather than on the sides. They look familiar, but not exactly like any earth animal, I think.
Because Kobolds can be either dog-like or reptilian, I usually think of them as being somewhere in between mammal and lizard. But the not!romans here are much too tall to be any sort of kobold.

As for those war-people things, I wonder how they eat (or breathe) as they have no apparent mouth and I guess they might be telepathic to each other but not other peoples.

At first I thought it must have been a golem of some sort, but that doesn't seem to be the case. The big solid white eye is strange. If that's an eye at all.

Woah, the dog people's teeth are flat, not pointy. So maybe they are more like goats after all?

The author has a very interesting (and developing) art style, I'm digging the simplicity of the comic.

I think the most striking thing about his work is that there's no jokes, even as early as Rice Boy. Like, none whatsoever, not even a hint of one. It's a peculiar thing to see in a webcomic format.

I love it. It's such a sweeping saga. Grand ambitions to be sure... is it on permanent hiatus or is the author still working on it?

Updates Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and the guy's finished two webcomics before. Suspect it's still updating, but I did only pick it up recently so who can say?

It seems like Vattu stopped updating somewhere around the end of February this year according to the official tumbler... Hopefully its just a Hiatus.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.
