Damn, I read Kill Six Billion Demons in one run. I am so in love with the worldbuilding and art of that comic, though the characters could use some depth. Anyone else read it?

I can see where Arx was going now with the Questionable Content / Author's Screed thing, now. I had to read back to find the offending passage. There are no real plot spoilers here but I put spoilers on it anyway just in case:

Woohoo, thanks friend!
I've been meaning to start Ava's Demon, I like the art style.  But I'm mostly excited over Lighter Than Heir (:

I've been enjoying Schlock Mercenary again recently.  I sometimes feel like it's gone on too long...  It's nearly 18 years old, and started tackling Dyson spheres and galaxy-wide conflicts in the first year or two.  Due to inevitable escalation, the most recent arcs have been largely post-death, thanks to technology.  Most sentients have local brain backups, many have offsite backups.

Yet things are still happening with the characters.  Particularly the AIs, most recently.  Koala-god is an excellent diplomat, and it was kinda crazy to put the survivor of a million years of solitude in charge of a wormhole-gun.

Because everyone loves a cliff-hanger, I bring the gift of cliff-hanger!
A small magic-person is running through dreams? A young fae whose spent their life indoors wants to see the world? I am not really clear on where it is going, and there is lots of dream-scape stuff going on that ties into the plot somehow? I've been enjoying it... anyway, it just hit a cliff-hanger and is probably going on another dream-scape excursion for who-knows-how-long so hopefully you will like it and suffer while I gloat!

Says right there under the post that Kris Straub is doing a Broodhollow Patreon to resume active posting of the comic. Hopefully it sticks this time around, Broodhollow is super good.

Vattu is a pretty good fantasy webcomic I've only gotten into today. Real pretty, and it's got some impressive worldbuilding in there too. Not the easiest to follow sometimes and it takes a while to really get going, but it reminds me of a milder Kill Six Billion Demons in many respects.

Started reading it, the Rome-esque race pretty strongly resemble cutebolds for some reason. No idea if that's accidential or on purpose.

They look more like generic dog-people to me.
Quite like the comic so far. I left it off for a while when I got to that part because it made me think about the times that tribal people have been exploited in real life. :(

Well, cutebolds are generic dog-people. It's the ears that make me think of the resemblance I guess.
