:"Bandits aren't exactly the best organized. But anyway, I'm going to go check on my wounded friend. I'll probably come back, but for now..."
Torben shrugs and staggers back out to check on Shaundra.

[SeriousConcentrate]

Shaundra cracked her eyes open when she heard Torben come back.

"Hey, Ben. Find a healer? Alima put some medicine on me, but some magic'd be appreciated."

"Wait, you haven't even gotten your own wounds healed yet?"

[Powder Miner]

:"No, I'm still standing, after all. Triage. And yeah, I found a healer, she should be on her way."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Knew you were a nice guy. Didn't even think about yourself, did you?"

Shaundra smiled at him and went back to resting.

"Got a good intuition on me. Knew you guys would be good travel buddies. Sorry. Don't mean to make you worry."

[Swordstar]

"Whoa, wait what? Traveling companions? I... what? I mean... I helped you guys out here but... I never said I'd travel with you guys. Don't even know where you're heading. 'Sides, fights aren't exactly my thing if you didn't notice. I don't really have much in the way of defending myself after all.

Alima scowled slightly, not happy with the fact that her intentions had just been assumed by this sleepy archer.

[Powder Miner]

:"Peh, I've been hurt just about this bad a couple times before, anyway. I'll be fine when the healer comes to heal all of us."
Torben sits down.
:"Might wanna sit down though.
Also, if we're talking traveling, we're gonna want to spill out reasons for going places. Gotta find out if we actually can travel, or if all of us even want to.
Specifically, I'm running from Lignum. Can only pull the wool over the bandits' eyes so many times."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Not going anywhere particular, just where the wind blows. Might come with one of you guys if we end up splitting ways. Only meant I feel like I can trust you guys to not steal my stuff and run off while I'm sleeping."

Shaundra looked at Alima.

"'Sides, if you can't fight you might as well stick with one or all of us. Things could get dangerous. Good enough hunter that we wouldn't be hungry on the road either, come to that."

She then turned to Torben the ninja :p.

"Lignum? Never been there. From Superessendam, myself. Going anywhere specific Ben?"

[Swordstar]

"Hmmph, I guess. I'm just staying away from the desert. I was born there, in case you couldn't tell, and have no interest in going back any time soon. Besides that, I'm just a traveling performer. I go where people let me play and where they'll pay me. I get along alright on the road, though I haven't exactly run into much trouble so maybe I've just been lucky."

[Powder Miner]

Torben shrugs.
:"Anywhere not Lignum."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Could ask Jyggalag. Don't think he'll say much though."

Shaundra laughed quietly to herself, then winced. Even with the medicine it still hurt to move around too much.

"Think we should look into asking for a reward for stopping the bandits?"

[Swordstar]

"Looks like we're all just wandering unless big guy there decides to speak up. Heh, bunch of random wanderers beat up on... some bandits? I dunno, anyone know why they attacked this village? They said something about no witnesses or something. Seems odd to me. Usually bandits don't kill everyone, do they?

She grinned at Shaundra's comment.

"Hmm... maybe. Though they are giving us free healing apparently, so that's nice.

[SeriousConcentrate]

Shaundra looked at herself.

"Suppose I can't argue with that. Need my health more than I need money."

"Mmm. No witnesses. Odd. Survivors can be robbed again later. Not random then, but not sure what the point is. Rich merchant with a grudge maybe?"

Torben leans back on his elbows.
:"...I think the innkeeper was about to say something about that, but I was preoccupied with checking over here."

[Swordstar]

"Well how about this. I'll go talk to the innkeeper while you two get healed. Once you're done getting healed, you come join me? Even if I don't join with you guys, I should know what's going on in this area."

Walking into the inn, Alima spotted the innkeeper.

"So I hear that you might know what's going on with this attack? They were planning on razing the village to the ground it seems. That doesn't seem to quite fit for a standard bandit attack, hmmm? So why don't you tell me what you know, ok?"

"So I hear Lignum is nothing but bandit country. Irritated the whole lot of them, did you Ben?"
