Hmm, if the current overseer isn't able to play his turn, I'd be happy to play instead (if he doesnt't object, of course.)

Object or not, he had a week to claim as per the rules. So he'll have to wait if he wants to play.

1st of Granite,

I had hoped today would be easy. However, I arrived at my assigned fortress in the middle of a siege. I was able to quicly slip inside.
The military that is stationed at a bottleneck in the entrance seems to be a little undermanned. I hope this will go down well.

8th of Granite,

After a few days of being under siege, I sent the marksmen outside to take care of the invaders. They made quick work of dispatching all of the goblins. We didn't lose a single man.

Also, after examining the stocks, it seems that we have enough food. Actually, everything seems to be fine.
I'll see if I can improve the state of our militia, though.

Further inspections of nobles and commanders will follow as well. We can't have them be inefficient, of course.

EDIT:
25th of Felsite,

We were ambushed by goblins this week. Twice, actually. We managed to fend them off, but at a great loss. Kilrudkurel, AKA 'Shadowhammer' was the first to engage the goblins. After taking quite a few of them down, he was knocked unconscious and killed.

Hehe, so everyone who took a turn is dead now, right? If we ever catch a necromancer, I want my corpse resurrected and used to start off a zombie pit for defense/executing undesirables. Everyone else is welcome to donate their bodies to, uhh, Science, as well.

Not quite: Shadowhammer is still alive and demonstrates a valuable principle: More badass name=Greater longevity.

Also, necromancer zombie pits sound fun.

23rd of Hematite,

The civilians and I seem to have run into a disagreement. They think it is perfectly acceptable to leave their wounded protectors outside to die. I disagree. We will have to find a solution for this.

7th of Malachite,

It seems the problem has been solved. Training of military continues, as does the building of military facilities.

Sorry, but pastafriend's first update definitely says Shadowhammer got killed.
