So, quick question if anyone ever gets the time. What is neotherm? It doesn't have a page on the wiki.

Also, quick thanks to the wiki monkeys for keeping everything up to date.

Neotherm's a different thing from namite, but so similar they might as well be the same.

Edit: No, neotherm's more than 10 times as hot.

@Nik: Hey, you know I joked a whole lot about leaving Maurice behind or tossing him out of an airlock but I can't exactly blame your OOC obsession for power. IC-wise, Milno just thinks Maurice is crazy so my bad about the whole thing. Maurice could probably have picked a hero that wasn't so paranoid about aliens and space magic.

Xan would probably approve of Maurice's method of sticking his genitals into alien gods.

I'm mostly trying to avoid Thaddeus-like situations here.

The Thaddeus situation is an odd case since Thad was swallowed whole by another consciousness inside the body he was living in; he didn't just up and die out of nowhere. Besides, I'm trying to be reasonable about it.

Edit: Corrected and touched upon my hushed post.

-snip- IC-wise, Milno thinks Maurice is crazy.

Well, yeah, that's exactly the matter that hit me so hard. I mean, I tried my best to give him reasons to see Maurice differently than merely "crazy", but, I guess, the irreconcilable difference in their views on the matter will have to do for now.

Still thank you for not seeing him responsible, I guess. ...And the trial isn't over yet.

Crazy is being used more for its derisive meaning than its literal one. If Milno believed Maurice was literally and completely bonkers he'd put the doc in a straitjacket.

You might get a more detailed idea of how Milno sees this matter when he addresses Maurice again.

((I don't think MCP-I is worth of anything, knuckles certainly are worth of nothing, but the helmet at least gets you a single token. Do you still want to get rid of stuff?))

((Yes. It's more for cleaning purposes. And these wouldn't sell well in the player market.

I poested sell because of the one token.))

Stuff sold, but you should consider selling things to other players. May be more profitable.

Will Faith's berserk mode work in robot bodies and assaultsuits?

Do kinamps suffer from "safe use" limits like amps/manipulators? What about weirdness from combining with synthflesh?

Speaking of safe use limits, are those per user or per amp/brain? Would two copies of a microwave amp or a single manipulator swapping between brains allow more safe uses per mission or not?

Speaking of weirdness from combining amps/manips and synthflesh, we have any details?

It's in her mind, so as long as she has a mind, it will work.

Over use would be bad, but it's harder to do than with an amp or manip. It depends. I mean, you go berserk mode and start really pushing them both at the same time, it could be bad.

User. The thing is being drawn toward YOU.

I wouldn't recommend it.
Yow. So berserksynth amp club is maybe not the greatest combination. On the bright side, who wants to see a berserking assaultsuit?!

Make sure you get a Heavy Blade from the melee battlesuit to go with it.

Quote from: AM, re Melee Battlesuits
"I've seen them in use a few times. They're absurdly dangerous up close, even against other battlesuits. The UWM used ones with segmented mono-atomic claymores to help put down the Red Moon Rebellions."

"The "Heavy blade" is apparently a sword, around 6 foot long, better described as a sharpened I-beam; a massive blade whose shear weight, when wielded by the mechanical strength of the suit, can cleave and crush nearly anything, even other suits."

And that's without berserker mode.

Those mono-atomic claymores sound pretty rough, too.

We never migrated any melee variant over, though I was going to make one using the SLMG.  A mobility assaultsuit plus a bought sword of some kind is a close substitute, though.  2x battlesuit strength, plus agile flight and streamlined armor.

Faith should probably avoid the forceblades though.  She'd likely shatter them and disarm herself in short order.

Solid Light Matter Generator.  I was gonna integrate it into an armorless variant alongside a beefed up Solid Light Protection Field and melee-battlesuit style mobility thrusters.  Essentially, unc people would get a superfast assaultsuit which regenerates its armor (though the armor would be weaker overall).  The automated protection field also justifies why it's a melee variant; the SLPF interferes with ranged weapons.
