Normally yes, if a person dies their stuff goes to the team fund. Then if they had debts, those are paid off with the deceased person's tokens and selling their equipment if needed. It's never happened that a dead person had more debt than his net worth (in tokens and gear) iirc. If that were to happen, I dunno for sure yet how that'd be arranged, but I do think the team fund would pay back to the debtor as long as it's not a ridiculously enormous amount.

It's a fair system, right? In the majority of cases, the union would still win out (and it prevents what is otherwise indeed a system of privatizing profits while socializing costs).

I think it would work best (for team fund and union) if, when someone dies their debts are paid off using their tokens and equipment. If that's not enough, debts are forgotten.

I'm mostly trying to avoid Thaddeus-like situations here.

It seems unfair to be able to take away from someone in a will.

I'm going to put my two remaining tokens out there for the union to use

Could 1 go towards evening up payment on something shared between parties?

Also, would anyone like the Spooky Garrow artifact for 1 token?

Leak hues everywhere, for some reason. Probably a further purpose, but nobody's sure.

I'll sell my Nyartifact as a decoration for the CSU meeting room.

(It's a radioactive green dong. Somehow, I've never gotten around to investigating Bruce Banner's Gamma Schlong in close detail)

Apart from the classiness and general cancer benefits, what does it offer?

Maybe it has an effect in those that look at it...either way it ought to look cool when combined with xenospit

Hmm. I can see that working, but I don't know if such situations are very likely to crop up again anytime soon. And it would kinda shaft the debtors. The hardest part though might be when there's multiple debtors, who gets what share of the money then? And what if their stuff can't quickly be turned into tokens (eg nyartifact of unknown function and monetary worth)?

I think lending to people is a kind of risk. Sometimes, you can get tokens or just favours by taking that risk, though sometimes you'll lose out. I don't really see why Team fund, joker fund, or union treasuries should take on the risk for somebody else, if that makes sense.

If someone owes you money when they die you're entitled to some of their stuff. You're just not entitled to anyone else's stuff.

A lead-lined travel case. I really never bothered trying to examine it more closely.

2 tokens added to CSU from 4.  Also processing the 2 tokens spazyak indicated he wanted to give.

NJW: is there any chance that proceeds from garrow's sale could go to the union?  Alternatively, could the union have the artifact?  You have, after all, already benefited greatly, if you don't mind my saying so.
