Solid Light Matter Generator. I was gonna integrate it into an armorless variant alongside a beefed up Solid Light Protection Field and melee-battlesuit style mobility thrusters. Essentially, unc people would get a superfast assaultsuit which regenerates its armor (though the armor would be weaker overall). The automated protection field also justifies why it's a melee variant; the SLPF interferes with ranged weapons.

Also, if you mean solid light generators, the ones that use Uncon, then I see no problem with using ranged weapons. Assuming the solid light is segmented and can thus bend, you can grab a weapon with the solid light hand. If you mean those solid light protection fields, then those will only have a problem when moving at high speeds or otherwise doing weird stuff, so maybe not the best for a high speed melee fighter that also uses ranged weapons, but not impossible to have, assuming they stand still to fire. I'm asking because you used both names there.
Also also, that battlesuit will have a very weird weakness against darkness. Heh. It will be a little battlesuit that's afraid of the dark. Call it some name fit for a little girl and it will be perfect for Faith.
Also also also, make a sandman battlesuit (battlesuit that uses abyss sand) and you'll have the perfect poetic counter for it. Dark shadowy blobby slowly regenerating darkness that forms robust constructs with eerie noises against hard angular quickly regenerating but softer light. One needs sound, the other needs light. Trap the sand in a light bubble, it receives no sound. Trap the light in a sand bubble, it receives no light. Too bad abyss sand doesn't work as well in space.
