Was thinking about Lyra, actually.  Apparently Lenglon had her massively lightened by the cube?

That should have probably ruined her physical capabilities.  It would be like swapping a ping-pong ball for a golf ball.  Slower, more air resistance, etcetera.  Like operating in lower gravity, makes it much harder to move anywhere.  I'm pretty sure her doctor-built body should be pretty well optimized at it's design mass.

I also think it would also kinda make her all-but unusable in melee combat.  Doesn't matter how much raw strength you have if you have zero leverage.

The command staff decided to just retcon out him having ever have been on the mission, because they really don't now how to deal with someone who has initiative in following orders and/or hates the guts of his commanding officer and isn't afraid to say so.

You should probably check what happened and discover the retcon idea was the piecewise's. The GM.

Ehhh, really? Quick check of neither the forum nor IRC logs show any of that, was it on PMs (and then somehow got common knowledge)?
Also, I'm not doubting you, just wanted to see the circumstances and Pw's side of story behind this. Auron's retcon, I can buy (grudgingly); this one I honestly just don't understand. But Piecewise is known to be sensible and reasonable, so I'm curious.

Flint isn't being retconned, far as I know, except maybe that he's asking pw if Flint and Lyra shouldn't be further out due to flying at good speed, yet they've been making about as much progress a a jeep.
