The Gentleman walks along the great hall of the Archive, taking out his pocketwatch to check the time. His guests were coming, just in time in fact.
He hears a ringing noise from the front door.
"Come in, Defias. You're right on schedule."Defias entered into the room. It was a large, spacious chamber with a single long table down the middle, stacked with an unlimited assortment of viands and beverages. Various well-dressed men and women scurried about, some with faces that Defias recognized, although this was a long after they had died... supposedly.
Outside the Archive, the various transports converged on its position and began to dock inside the hangars. The submarine planes landed by way of a runway installed below the archive, along with a network of ramps that allowed them to enter the safety of the airship. The helicopters, Lukim's included, came and unloaded their passengers.
"Defias," the Gentleman called.
"The rest of my guests are downstairs at the hangars. Would you like to meet them?"((If your character is not currently involved in a sub-plot, please report in so I can tally who we still have left. After that, feel free to interact with other players if you choose to.))
((DarkArtemisFowl, it's your choice whether or not you want to continue your character's current actions or if you want to cut straight to the Archive--the timelines will sync regardless. Not that I'm asking you do to either of these, I'm just giving you the choice.))
When you get inside the helicopter, the Gentleman seems to have disappeared. He isn't in the pilot's seat, nor did he remain on the tower. He just left your vision and is now gone... the agents around you don't seem to notice. One simply puts some piece of rolled paper inside his mouth and lights it on fire, for some reason.
Secure the door behind me then continue searching through every container. Set aside a Gatling gun and put a GRAVITY and Grey ingots into my bag.
Also look for some kind of instruction manual to explain what the weapons are.
You carry the gravity cylinder and a few of the grey ingots with you inside one of the bags.
After a more thorough search, you find:
Left Upper Shelf
-A suitcase filled with schematics unrelated to the other items you've found. There are too many schematics to carry with you without taking the suitcase.
-A golden desert eagle covered in dried barnacles. The slide is broken into two pieces and the weapon was dented with some sharpened flat object (like an axe).
-A bulky rifle with some sort of case-less, propellant-less ammunition and a pair of prongs sticking out of the front. There is a fair amount of weight located in the stock, although the weapon is not a bullpup design.
-A ball covered in colored paper with various shapes and names drawn on the surface, as well as regularly spaced lines indicating coordinates. It rotates freely on its stand.
Right Upper Shelf
-A locked notebook with a symbol of a pyramid with an eye above the tip.
-A syringe filled with 80cc of a fluid. It is labelled "Nervo Fluid Sample 13".
-A very old medical textbook with the core hollowed-out and a grenade hidden inside the pages. Various scribbles are visible on the inside cover, though the handwriting is difficult to make out.
Left Lower Shelf
-A two-meter long spike with a strange black half-sphere on the unsharpened end.
-A half-sphere similar to the one on the spike, but about a foot in diameter and has a control panel on the front. There is a power cord sticking out of the back.
Floor
-A rusty stockless anchor encrusted with barnacles and other undersea growth.
-A note inside an envelope. You tear it open and read it:
Boss,
We confiscated some of the new stuff from a merchant vessel. We're not sure what to do with them. Please have specialists analyze them.
There is also a gun rack with various caliber handguns and some magazines, as well as a few rifles.
Someone seems to be walking around in the server room behind you. [4] Fortunately, you shut the door before searching the room.
- We have to move now to the airlocked level. The flood must be stopped by authorities - we had played this situation in trial alarms.
Action: Proceed to the named level, which should be below for now. Do that quickly.
[2] The elevator is quickly set into emergency mode and plunges down the shaft at frightening speed. You hear water coming from above and see drops of water trickling through the elevator's ceiling, along with the crackling of water coming into contact with the lights.
The elevator stops, but the door fails to open. There are red lights flashing, though without any accompanying warning as to why the doors cannot open.
((follow them at a safe distance))
You order your crew to hover along the ocean floor, staying close to rock formations to make detection difficult. So far, you appear to be undetected.
The pursuing submarines slow down and eventually come to a stop. They hang there for a few minutes, as if waiting or planning something.
