@Yoink. Well, I imagined the lizardpeople as mostly nomadic with a few permanent cities based around oases. But honestly, I hadn't really thought about their religion all that much. Knock yourself out in making something up if you want to, I'll try to roll with whatever you give me unless it's too ridiculous.
Well, if Yoink can't think of something, I could come up with a few starting ideas.
((I don't really have time to write out a whole thing right now, but I was thinking of their culture as being heavily inspired by Ancient Egypt, with plenty of warlike gods perhaps tingeing it with a Norse flavour. So, they value honour and skill in battle, that sort of thing- although being cold-blooded beings I wouldn't put too big a focus on bravery and berserkers.
I'd think magic would be viewed quite differently, with curses being and everyday, commonplace matter and the main Elements being sand, sun and shadow. Zombies (AKA mummies!) probably wouldn't be too unheard of either, rather seen as either guardians of dead rulers, or as tools for the living.
I'm rambling, but those are a few ideas. Maybe I should throw out a few god names... how about Bahket, Paht, Ehn and Kas, for starters.
Not sure what they'd each be the gods
of, since I'm a bit tired to think of more stuff right now, hehe.
Edit: Wait, Bahket can be the god of water and irrigation, Paht the god of
fears feasts, Ehn the god of death and the realm of the dead, and Ceth the god of blades. Kas can be the god of loot, spoils and pillaging/ambition, and Kranemh the god of cunning and strategy.
These are all just vague ideas, thrown out for your consideration, GM.
Obviously these gods are part of a pantheon, so should probably have a leader of w/e.))
