Wesley nods subtlety asking Stoneflow for another glass. To be perfectly he was used to rum so the whiskey was a pleasant surprise.

‘Demon? I hope not. The last bit of business we had with a dragon ended up with my ship in the middle of it. Though you do have one with a touch of experience in demon slaying here, if he would not mind me saying so. But to be quite honest, it’s hard to tell. A demon fits, but so do any number of things. Could be a bloody dragon, seeing as they’re not as extinct as we thought they were! The one they had here was just a young’un, but from the tales some of the older ones had heads sharp enough to match their claws. And the sea dragons were even bigger, though thankfully none of those lot have reared their ugly heads yet.’ The Captain pauses, sliding another glass across the table to the young pirate.
‘More realistically, any kind of general with a grudge against our empire and a bit of know how with the old iron could be behind it all. Ogres and war are only kept apart by - well, their love of war, between themselves. Get past that, and ya got an army of berserkers at ya fingers.’

"So ideally, we remove the head and the body dies. Find this source and remove it, and me way very well stop the war..." Sorrel muses.

"Have their been any attempts to reason with these Ogres? To understand why they are attacking? Despite popular opinion, they are no more warlike or violent then most men, or Drow, or even Dwarves-they must be fighting for some reason, perhaps emboldened by their mysterious leader."

‘Well the last couple of messengers we sent were returned headless. So call them nice as you like - they ain’t interested in peace with us. If it was me, I’d take an army down and crush them. But the new king seems to ‘ave forgotten that the mountains are where we came from. He’s selling us out - though don’t you tell him I’ve said that. I’ve even heard whispers that he refuses to be buried in stone. But regardless, he wants you lot to sort out his problems. Maybe you can talk peace into them - they can’t all be bastards, but the ones on the front most certainly are.’

"I didn't exactly say they were nice-just that they were no worse. All races are capable of violence to an equal degree.

But your information is appreciated. We will weigh our options..."

Wesley give Kannii an incredulous look.
"This is a task better suited to a group of heroes, not a pirate, a scholar, an assassin, a... I don't know what he is, and a warrior priestess!"
Wesley points to each person as he mentions them.
"I can hardly imagine this being more difficult than a dragon. And the rest of you seem competent enough."

Krom just glares at them. "Competent, but not professional."

"Heroes rise from the least expected, do they not? And I have a quesion, ser Krom. Tell me, do demons bleed?" She smiled happily.

((Old demon that had a grudge with the last Dwarven king who was a demon who happened to like dwarves a fair bit. And if I recall they did in fact bleed.))

"I'm plenty professional. I'm just not on the job yet."
Wesley sips his whiskey, not downing the glass just yet.

"I well, Cap'n Ironvine doesn't take a liking to his crew cutting loose on the ship considering what some of them like to do."
Wesley shakes his head to rid himself of... bad thoughts.
