‘You can weigh your options all you like lass, but we sail at dawn, day after next. If you want the job, be here.’ The captain gestures for the group to leave, and they do so. It is now late evening, and the rain shows no sign of abating.
The knighting ceremony of the new captain of the guard will be long over by now, although the barman did say that that role could often be found in the barracks, up on the second tier, though whether he will be available at this hour is debatable. By now even the fish markets are beginning to close, and the only shops left open are not the most reputable.

"I feel asking questions at this hour would only sour tempers. We should return to the inn or find another, and continue at dawn. Who disagrees?"

"I wish we could finish our inquiries tonight and decide in the morning, given the short time-table the dwarves have for us, but...we don't have much choice, now do we?"

Seeking shelter, the group follow the pirate’s apprentice, who leads them back up the dock stairs, and across the first tier, until the shops come to an end and the houses begin. On this border, there lies a square, bordered to the north by the palace itself. To the east lies a wealthy residential section, and the west leads back where you came. The south is bordered by a large inn.
However, the facade of the inn is charred, and from it’s top left corner to the top of the main door it is torn in two, with the resulting wreckage blocking the entrance. A further search reveals an alleyway ending in a back door, and you can see a small amount of flickering candlelight coming through the numerous cracks.

After a second of silence, KAnnii spoke. "...Ser, I am not too fond of the idea of being buried in rubble while we sleep. Are you certain?"

"It beats spend a night on the street I guess. But I do agree we should be careful, the building doesn't look like the safest place."

"Trust me. It will work, I've been in worse places before. And it's dirt cheap even for something of this quality."

"Let's worry about the occupants before we deal with the structure itself."

Action: Lead the group into the structure

"I suppose someone like me cannot judge, no?" She giggled and followed them in, but her hands were ready to sieze her daggers.
