Wesley downs his whiskey now that he knows what everyone is doing on their drinks. After that he makes a motion to Kannii to ask for her drink.

‘Ah, the raiders.’ His face falls. ‘A troublesome matter, and bad for business too.
They started coming almost a year ago now. First few were sporadic, just one a month odd in that winter. By summer they were practically weekly. Now we’ve been forced to move away from the centre of the mountains, else we’d be drowning in the bastards by now. Most worrying part of it all was that they seemed to have iron on ‘em. And not sure how much you know ‘bout them outside of places such as this, but ogre communities are places where metal is a scarce thing indeed. Blades aren’t easily made without some sort of structure - and yet they’ve got blades. And from the looks of things, someone’s got one up their arses, to get them to move.
I’d offer to take you to the frontiers myself, but the King’ll want to speak to you first. He might have a better idea than me, but I can’t promise that - good lad as he is, he  ain’t a patch on old Stonelord.

((Stonelord being the previous king, as seen in the first TLI ))

With a nod towards Wesley, she slid the glass smoothly across the table to a halt infront of him. She looked at the elderly dwarf.
"Are the ogres trying to conquer and hold the land or just looting, ser?"

‘Please, we’re on a ship. I’m no knight, just a Captain.’ The dwarf pours himself another drink. ‘And as for your question….. Well I’ve seen the messes they’ve left, and it sure ain’t pretty.’ He gulps from his glass, almost emptying it, and shakes his head. ‘If they’re looting, they sure don’t  want witnesses. And if they ain’t, then the four help us. Cause it looks to me like they’re out to kill - and if the ogres are marching to war….. Well, some compare the dwarves to stone. Then that’s make the ogres a damned earthquake.’ He finishes the drink, and reaches for the bottle, pouring his third.

Wesley downs his new drink.
"Hmm... you sound like you need some heroes for that ogre."
Wesley pauses as he realizes what he said.
"Order. Sorry, I kind of slip sometimes."

"I've heard tales of smart ogres, Captain, but never seen one myself. Something must be leading them. Maybe a demon? It could install enough fear for discipline, and teach them how to man a forge."

Wesley looks at the hired blade like she's insane.
"Please tell me you aren't actually considering this? At least not until we go see what the other job is about."

KAnnii shrugged. "It would be fun, would it not? A ogre's death is always so satisfying compared to most other races. Ogres don't die as easily." Her gaze began to look slightly dreamy before it snapped back to the present, always too quick to notice. "And it cannot hurt to learn more about this task, ser."

"...Yes. Lets first consider both our options before rushing into anything." There is a look of worry on Gerwick's face after hearing the word "Demon"

Wesley give Kannii an incredulous look.
"This is a task better suited to a group of heroes, not a pirate, a scholar, an assassin, a... I don't know what he is, and a warrior priestess!"
Wesley points to each person as he mentions them.

"Uh, just call me a herbalist for now. Seems appropriate considering my knowledge of plants. I can always think of a better name later if needed." Gerwick say's with a shrug.

"You know, I used to help run a smuggling operation for a person that called himself a herbalist. He died of a drug overdose."

"Um... That's... Interesting. I'm not exactly big on drugs, while I know a few plants that are considered drugs, I don't have a need to go find out what its like to experience them."

"Yeah... I figured you were either the exact type or not really the type to do drugs."

"Eeeh, I've heard some stories. Most of them not pleasant, I'd rather be safe than sorry."
