Nadarr examines the map yet again, and if he fails to be able to use it passes it on to someone else.
((Forgot this))
You open the map. You realize it is a map of the surrounding areas, marking also definitive features around you, such as the bandit camps and, to your luck, hidden entrances to the fortress. Unfortunatley, it only shows exterior and above ground structures. (17+9) It is a Map of Unseen Lands. (As a standard action, once per day, the map redraws itself, revealing a 10 mile radius map showing general terrain, structures over 5000sqft or larger, important landmarks (bridges, portals), lairs of monsters and the names of the areas revealed if they are well known enough. You gain a +2 to nature and perception checks when in the areas labelled on the map (unfotunatley, this doesn't cover the interior of the fortress))

EDIT:

Where does the party head? You're back downstairs, but there's no sign of the undead you heard last night

Jee wilikers, I think Highmax is near invulnerable, must have been dunked in the river styx like achilles was.
Just make sure he wears a boot.

You open the door and find a hallways that ends after 40ft and then turns left. You hear what sounds like water moving.

Nadarr goes down the path with his Light in front of him (Turning it off and on so it's constantly somewhere ahead,) and gestures to the others to follow impatiently.

((You can do it with your staff and not use the power, I'll allow it. It DOES say you can carry the lit object))

You light your staff and advance. The light was needed, as it seems this place is filled with cobwebs and other signs of age, showing this was more abandoned then the rest of the fortress. Thoradin admits he never came in this room, and they always told him to never enter it. You turn the corner and about 25ft down, you see an opening. The sound of moving water is more apparent. You turn again to the left and see a door on the other side of the room and a deep pit of water about 25ft by 25ft and 15ft or so deep. You shine your light into the water and see a single skeleton in the water, bones broken and the bones swelled up from being underwater for so long. There are no signs of flesh anywhere on him, but as you move the light, the skeleton gets up! It tries to climb out, but its fingers, as you see, are broken and damaged to the point they cannot grasp the walls of the pit. You swear there seems to be an almost toad-like look in the skeleton's face. You're safe, but there seems to be no way across without dealing with the skeleton, as there is no ledge or way across without swimming.

Nadarr uses Erupting Flare on the skeleton! Given it's underwater, this will probably fail. In this case, he shouts:

Bloody skeleton! Get out of our way!

If nothing of note happens, he then uses Mage Hands combined with Orb of Insurmountable Force to slam it against the wall. Hard.

The flare dies before it even hits the skeleton. You slam it into the wall! It takes (4) force damage and cracks! It keeps trying to get to you despite the fact that most of his ribs are gone as well as his arm hanging by small pieces still latching together. It fails again to get out.

Perception check
(?) You move up and check out the pit. You accidentally push Nadarr in due to cramped space! (18+3) Nadarr maintains his balence but is pushed back. (18+9) You notice some old gear underwater. Because of the lack of lighting and how deep the water is, its hard to tell their quality.

"Stand back, Dragonborn."

Throw Alchemist's Frost at the skeleton.

Throw Alchemist's Frost at the skeleton.
You toss alchemist's frost at the skeleton! (17+4) The force of the water causes it to break on the surface! A thin layer of ice forms and damages the skeleton a bit for (4) damage! Its bones seem to crack more and its arm falls off

Throw another Alchemist's frost in at the skeleton for good measure.

"Hey, Thoradin. Think you could shout it away? Heh."

If possible, step back afterwards and use heal on myself (?)
